Space Seed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj3Sjs-yri4)The Enterprise comes across the ancient sleeper ship S.S. Botany Bay left over from Earth's Eugenics Wars. Discovering a number of humans in stasis pods aboard the ship, Kirk orders for them to revived. However when their leader, Khan, attempts to seize control of the Enterprise, Kirk is left powerless.
The Corbomite Maneuver (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Itmi19wXy5o)The Enterprise becomes trapped by a huge crystalline-type vessel whose menacing commander swiftly informs Kirk that he has trespassed into the territory of the First Federation and must face destruction.
Balance of Terror (http://www.hulu.com/watch/283833)The Enterprise is forced into a deadly game of "cat and mouse" when a Romulan bird of prey is spotted close to Federation territory. Kirk must outwit the highly intelligent Romulan Commander if he is to stand any chance of saving his crew.
The Immunity Syndrome (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuCHAC5u_Do)After losing contact with the U.S.S. Intrepid and the Gamma 7-A star system, the Enterprise encounters a giant amoeba that is preparing to reproduce.
What Are Little Girls Made Of? (http://www.hulu.com/watch/283805) Visiting planet Exo III, Nurse Chapel is reunited with her long lost fiancé, Dr. Roger Korby. However when Kirk is kidnapped and duplicated by one of Korby's home-made androids, the crew is placed in an impossible predicament of picking out the real captain.
The Doomsday Machine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnhcrZ_RFqo)Investigating the destruction of several planetary systems, the Enterprise discovers a crippled starship floating in space. Commodore Decker is the only one left on the ship and is soon found to be less than sound-minded when he takes control of the Enterprise and exposes it to lethal danger.
The Ultimate Computer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnhcrZ_RFqo)The Enterprise is outfitted with the new experimental multitronic unit, the M-5, a computer that may threaten the future of human exploration of space, but the experiment soon takes a terrible turn for the worse.
The Enterprise Incident (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5BHT3UzI5w)An unusually restless Captain Kirk suddenly orders the Enterprise into Romulan territory where the ship is quickly surrounded by enemy forces.
Mirror, Mirror (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNawFOBuYW0)Kirk, Scott, McCoy and Uhura enter a parallel universe where the crew of the Enterprise act as sadistic savages. Unbeknownst to them, their evil counterparts have entered their "normal" universe and seem determined to wreak havoc.
Wink of an Eye (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP69JjSocxA)The super-accelerated Scalosians, invisible to the naked eye, plan to use the Enterprise crew to sustain their civilization. When Ensign Compton and Captain Kirk drink the Scalosian water, they super-accelerate into the "Scalosian realm."

When it arrives at the coordinates, the Enterprise is threatened by a probe calling itself Nomad. When Kirk identifies himself by name, Nomad mistakes him it's creator.
The Cage (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz7lf2f4r2Y)When Captain Pike and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise are lured to the distant planet Talos IV, they are exposed to a race of powerful beings capable of creating powerfully realistic illusions. Pike must battle within his own mind in order to free himself and defeat his captors.
The Court Martial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTWnr6W9KAU)Kirk is ordered to face a Court Martial on Starbase 11 when the circumstances surrounding a crewman's death are thrown into doubt. Kirk's lawyer Samuel T. Cogley must call on the assistance of the Enterprise crew in order to clear Kirk's name.
TURNABOUT INTRUDER (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6L5J-iUsm4)Dr. Janice Lester forcibly trades bodies with Captain Kirk to obtain what she always wanted: command of a starship, but when "Captain Kirk" begins to exhibit strange behaviour, the Enterprise crew turn to mutiny. In this final adventure, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy and Scotty are sentenced to death by what appears to be their captain.

THE WAY TO EDEN (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZM54SNExJk) The Enterprise takes aboard insane Dr. Sevrin and his group of "hippie" followers on their quest to find the planet Eden, including one who is a long-lost-love of Ensign Chekov.

My all time favourite Trek episode was Arena.It scared the crap out of me when i was a toddler.

I'm not really familiar enough with the originals to work out a top 10, but I always enjoyed;

The Doomsday Machine
The Menagerie
Balance of Terror

and some of the funnier episodes are decent value too, like I, Mudd and The Trouble with Tribbles.

I don't really remember a whole lot of the original series to be much help here though.
