Anyone here old enough to have grown up watching Zacherley?

I have very fond memories of my earliest childhood watching this very crazy funny pre-Elvira scary movie host ham his way through routines with his wife (who lived in a casket) and his pet amoeba which would inch its way across the floor (with a visible string pulling it). It was somewhere between a professional show and a Wayne's World ish community cable thingie. Great fun!

I just found out he's 96 and still kickin'. :-)

Kickin' inside a coffin, I would assume.

But thank you. I feel young again. ::cool::::wink::

Never heard of him. I see he hosted a TV show playing horror films 1957 & 58 airing only in Philly area, & 58 to perhaps 1963, airing only NY area. Is that when and where you watched him?

Circa 2015, that's a pretty tight window for anyone on this board to have seen him. ::wink:: Assuming Wiki is correct, you have to be older than 58 yrs old, right?

Older than 58, yes. ;-)

I probably started watching Zacherley around 1960. Always loved horror movies, even as a little kid.

If Peter Vincent (Fright Night), Elvira, and Samuel Beckett had had a threesome, Zacherley might have oozed out nine months later.

Sounds like something I would have enjoyed. I will have to google it.
