Khan Bonfils, aka Kan, @ 42.

British actor Khan Bonfils, who went by Kan, died Wednesday in London while preparing for an upcoming production of “Dante’s Inferno.” He was 42.

Paramedics and members of the Craft Theatre Company in East London were unable to revive Bonfils after he collapsed in rehearsal, according to the Daily Mail. A cause of death has not yet been announced.

Bonfils may be best known for his roles in the James Bond and “Star Wars” franchises. He first appeared in the Bond world as henchman Isagura in 1997’s “Tomorrow Never Dies” and again appeared in 2012’s “Skyfall.” In 1999, he played Jedi master Saesee Tiin in “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace.”

Bonfils also had roles in “Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life” and “Batman Begins.”

Just saw this sad news! An absolute legend both on and off screen, in one of his most famous roles other then Francisco Scaramanga in The Man with the Golden Gun, this is easily overshadowed by his portrayal of Dracula in the 1958 version! Christopher will always remain an icon of Hammer Horror and everything that is great within the genre.

Rest in Peace!

On a more serious note, Leatherface didn't die, actor Gunnar Hansen died of pancreatic cancer. He majored in English and mathematics as an undergraduate, and then went to graduate school in Scandinavian Studies and English. He was a writer, actor and taught college as an adjunct instructor. Wrote film scripts, and wrote and directed documentary films.

Gunnar Hansen passed away on Nov. 7 at 68 years old.

While most of us might have seen his other films like Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers and Mosquito, most know him for his role as Leatherface in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I had the pleasure of meeting him once at an event and he was very pleasant, funny, and told some great stories about his experience on that film ( also talked some shit about Paul Partain lol ).

He created one of the most iconic and memorable killers in horror history, often imitated, but never duplicated, and he will be missed.

Don't know if this is the right forum for this, but I just found out and had to say something, and I figured this was a good place. I'll be watching the original TCM and having a drink in his honor this evening.

Well, I am a bit late to comment on Gunnar passing away. But I wanted to share that he was amazing both times that I met him. I was fortunate enough that when I met him the first time there wasn't a line. We chatted for a few minutes and I browsed his collection of pics at his table to be signed. I chose 2 that I thought were really cool, and he said that the 2 that I picked were his favorites. So I asked him to pick his favorite out of the 2 and he ended up signing that one. Maybe 2 hours later I felt somebody touch my elbow while I was looking at this Jaws exhibit. I looked up and Gunnar asked me by name if I was having a good time. He was so freaking nice!! I about shat myself!!
