View Full Version : Movies you want to be made

What movies would you like to be made?
From your wildest dreams to adaptations of existing movies or books...
Choose your own castmembers and directors, make up your own title,...
It's your fantasy, you're the boss. Money's no object.
Since it's imaginary every idea is perfectly executed and all ideas result in decent movies.

Here are some that crossed my mind:

The Thingies
New creature movie like Critters and Gremlins with plenty of gore and good jokes.
An old artifact containing ancient creature eggs arrives in an American coastal town and soon all hell breaks loose.
Billy Connolly plays an old sailor who's up to date with the Scottish myths of the Thingies and helps the locals in their fight.

Big Gun
Arnold Schwarzenegger in a grindhouse revenge flick mix of Machete and Death Wish.
His character will be a cigar smoking, whiskey drinking ex-mercenary. He say stupid one-liners and yells a lot.

Section 8: War Veterans Gone Wild
During a meeting for war veterans and ex-solders, a massive riot/gang war kicks off outside,
triggering all kinds of flashbacks in our veterans, they unite in a team in order to find and eliminate the enemy. I want Commando like action on a larger scale, some insanity and a bit of humour.
At the end they all disappear and become some sort of r-rated, hardcore version of The A-Team.

Alien: Engineers
The prequel to Alien(s). The movie Prometheus was meant to be.
Everything makes sense and is logical. Most questions will be answered, those that won't be will be in the sequel.

Expendables VS zombies
(or any other cool bunch of soldiers will do).
Special team of soldiers have to take on a large town overrun with zombies and crazy thugs, in order to evacuate some scientist. Maybe the scientist is Herbert West?

Every Lovecraft story
John Carpenter directing, Guillermo del Toro taking care of the creatures and maybe Tim Burton for the scenery.
Cast: Johnny Depp, Sam Neil,...

R-Rated Wolverine
Wolverine finally does what everbody wants him to do. Uses his claws to slice, dismember, decapitate,... lots of bad guys. And no romantic substory.

Transformers G-1
An adaptation of the original cartoons. Same voices, script, less humans, no romance, more robots,...
And less logic when it comes to transformations, for example Soundwave is a giant robot but can still transform into a small radio.

Destroy All Humans
A video game adaptation.
Alien(s) attack(s) the USA set in 60's, filled with non-pc humour and alien clichés.
Little bit similar to Mars Attacks but with evil versions of Paul.

Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
Last Light by Alex Scarrow
Summer of Night by Dan Simmons
Strangers by Dean Koontz
Midnight by Dean Koontz
Cold Fire by Dean Koontz
The Wind-up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
Turn of the Screw by Henry James (Just kidding)

Make it happen. Chop chop.

I have a boatload of ideas, but I'll be damned if I'm giving them all to the Baron. ::big grin::

So, here's one of my horrible throwaways that needs some serious work:

A retired porn actor and ufologist with an enlarged prostrate discovers an alien and probes it. He finds a analagous gland, and with the help of his good friend and mad doctor, tests its effectiveness as a transplant in human subjects. It turns out that the gland not only salvages but drastically increases semen production in humans (and has another nonhuman function). The mad doctor clones the alien cells, sells them to Ron Jeremy for use in the porn industry, and the rest of the story writes itself.

neve would get made but a film where all the serial (and other) killers, Jason, michael, leatherface, pinhead, freddy, jigsaw, victor crowley etc. Fight each other. A bit like the end of cabin in the woods, only more extended and less like the shite freddy vs jason

There are a lot of zombie books that I have read that I would LOVE to be made into movies!!!

I would like to see more serial killer movies; on the same level as the Hannibal tv series or Dexter. There just isn't enough of them!!

I had a good story idea for it if anyone wants to make a fan film, lol.

Night At The Haunted Museum

After watching the third Night At The Museum I thought, this would be a good concept for a big budget horror movie.

"A couple of classes on a school trip to the natural history museum, get locked up in a nightmare after one of the students touches an ancient tablet.
They must break the curse before they all get slaughtered by the creatures in the museum."

Plenty of different things in the museum so cool and original kills should be easy.

I think they're still working on that.

It keeps developing and then falling apart. I love the initial idea. A Movie to cover the first book, the first season of a series to cover the second book, a movie to cover the third book, season two for the fourth book... and so on. I think that is brilliant, it keeps us who are obsessed involved at a more regular pace instead of having to wait a year between movies. It would be outrageously expensive but I think it could break records on the sales side. Ive read the entire series three times and the books are unbelievably good.

I'd love for once for someone to instead of taking a great classic and making it shit, take something that sounded good but that ended up being terrible and actually MAKE IT GREAT. Or you know. Something ORIGINAL. Personally I'd love to see a live action Arkham Asylum movie. But with the Batman movies I've seen lately I really don't know if that'd be a good idea. The games would probably still be better.

A horror comedy about a bunch of murderous old folks.
Like the bunch from Cocoon. Nice and sweet looking old people.
But they have to keep eating babies or kids in order to survive or something.
I pick kids because it seems like more of a challenge.

Another movie, same concept but less comedy and more violence/gore.
Nice old folks that murder certain college students for whatever the reason may be.
Maybe the old folks were members of some evil outlawed frat club from back in the day.

Yes, Oculus 2 needs to be a thing. Also, Blumhouse greenlit a sequel to Unfriended. Expect that one to make bank since the first one did really well.

"Genius Loci" by Clark Ashton Smith
"The Inhabitant of the Lake" by Ramsey Campbell

Quite similar stories, but the last one being, purpusly, more Lovecraft inspired.

And the story? Well..

Take a look in the pool and what do you see
In the dark depths there faces beckoning me
Can't you see them it's plain for all to see
They were there oh I know you don't believe me

Oh, I've never felt so strange
But, I'm not going insane

I've no doubt that you think I'm off my head
You don't say but it's in your eyes instead
Hours I spend out just gazing into that pool
Something draws me there I don't know what to do

Oh, they drain my strength away
Oh, they're asking me to stay

Nightmares, spirits calling me
Nightmares, they won't leave me be

All my life's blood is slowly draining away
And I feel that I'm weaker every day
Somehow I know I haven't long to go
Joining them at the bottom of the pool

Now, I feel they are so near
I, begin to see them clear

Nightmares, coming all the time
Nightmares, Will give me peace of mind

Now it's clear and I know what I have to do
I must take you down there to look at them too
Hand in hand then we'll jump right into the pool
Can't you see not just me they want you too

Oh, we'll drown together
It, will be forever

Nightmares, forever calling me
Nightmares, Now we rest in peace

Killer Babies

"After a storm or whatever all the newborns from the maternity ward are gone and all the staff on the floor is found dead.
Police suspect a cult but it turns out the babies have becoming murderous and are also infecting pregnant women."

So a horror/comedy about evil babies going on a killer rampage.
Including:
-a bunch standing on eachother's shoulders, with a trench coat and hat dressed like an adult.
-a character fighting the babies with a flamethrower.
-a bunch of babies doing some kind of raid on course for pregnant women, they use their evil baby magic and all the women give birth to more evil babies, after which they kill some parents before they get interrupted by someone so the babies scatter (imagine the sounds of lots of little footsteps and real baby giggles)

No Title Yet

A busload of juvenile delinquents and a couple of guards go on a trip for teambuilding or something. They end up in some redneck part of the woods where a large evil family of hill folk lives.
Then someone gets killed, maybe the coolest guard, so the youths get angry and organised. They want revenge.
They're gonna turn the tables and show these hill folk how things are done.
At the end there'll be one of the youths saying something like
"This was the best team building exercise ever..."

Severance, Wrong Turn, Wilderness and Misfits (tv-series) come to mind.
But on a slightly large scale.

Stuff that will be included:
-One criminal will go Deliverance on a hillbilly.
-Others will go cannibal, just because they're hungry.

-At The Mountains Of Madness but NOT Del Toro's take on the story.
I want a strict adaptation. Not an action movie.
And since this is all a fantasy I want Carpenter directing, and Jeffrey Combs and Sam Neil as the two characters who visit the lost city.
And Kurt Russell as some other character.

Now, Del Toro's script has a lot of potential for a seperate movie.
It's worth a read for those who care.
But it doesn't really need Antarctica, its mountains or any of Lovecraft's creatures. Already got an idea for a script. Might even write it out if I'm bored enough.

-I also had another great idea but I'm a little tipsy and can't recall right now.

A remake of the original Hellraiser with Clive Barker and Doug Bradley would be pretty neat.

Another movie I'd watch would be a movie adaption of the game Outlast. But only if the creators would be involved. The DLC was also quite good and it could be an interesting sequel.

I read somewhere that Barker said he'd make a different beginning. Plus now he'd have more money to make the movie. I don't really like the idea of a sequel considering that the latest sequels (with exception for Hellraiser: Revelations which I haven't seen) weren't really horror movies. Everything is fine as long as Mr. Barker is involved.

Isn't child raping more of a religious than a demonic thing?

I wouldn't mind a "sequel" to The Cable Guy. Perhaps I.T. Guy?
