I found out about this puppy a while back. From Norway. Horror-Mockumentary. Eventually found a English sub copy and watched. I loved it, probably cause all the Horror Hollywood shats out is remakes and excessive sequels. The Host, Nightwatch, and Kibakichi are fun too. there are a Nagah and Djinn movie from across the seas coming soon, too. Troll! Basically anybody seen some good foreign horror movies?

I loved Troll Hunter and The Host. Didnt really care for Nightwatch though. I'm loving foreign horror movies right now.
Hiruko The Goblin is really good
Memories of Murder, Mother (Both made by the same guy who made The Host)
Let The Right One In
High Tension
The Descent
The Orphanage
Little Otik is pretty out there but i enjoyed it a lot.
Theres a bunch more just cant think of them at the moment.

Saw that movie on Christmas in local theater, many years back then... I have to see it again.
First there was a couple of short film about the subject:

I bet the makers of this and the movie, were same. Not sure about the banning, but I wouldn't be surprised.
*************************SPOILERS WARNING*************************
Black comedy about a people who capture wild (and bloodthirsty) Santa Clauses and train them. Then they sell "the product" to the all over the world. That's how children get their jolly good Santa's.
Movie goes around with same plot, bigger budget and twist, about Santa's.

Like someone else mentioned High Tension & The Descent were pretty good movies, and I'll throw in Hostel (not sure if its considered foreign though).
Also Martyr's which was one of the hardest movies to watch ... for me anyway.
That's the only horror movie I never wanted to see a second time.

So. I actually love foreign horror and hate dubbing and am confused by folks who say they can't "read" horror movies. I was hoping to get a rise out of folks. You disappoint me. Hrmph.
I used to obsess over Asian horror - Here are some favorites (non-Asian included):
Audition
Oldboy
Three... Extremes
Three... Extremes II
Ringu
Ju-on
Rinne
Black Water
Pulse
The Descent
Dog Soldiers
The Host
Ils
Inside
Martyrs

Foreign horror movies are good because the foreign aspect of the unknown or the different society than you are used to. There are a bunch on my list that I need to see. I don't mind subtitles as the dubbed versions are usually really bad.

I totally agree - I think that makes them really fascinating but also frustrating at the same time - When I see a movie where I think I'm missing a cultural aspect, it makes me wish I was more worldly. ::cool::
...
I loved Kill List too.

I don't remember if I said it before in this thread or not:
COFFIN JOE.
Brazil's only horror director is a certifiable madman, and fans of foreign horror owe it to themselves to watch his films.

not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but is juan of the dead, foreign, Mexican? good film anyway. Also try violent shit zombie 90 or any by the directors Ittenbach and Snaach if you like your films extremely violent, cheap, badly acted and often rubbish
