So far, 3 of the shows I watch regularly are being cancelled: Almost Human, Intelligence, and Revolution. Why do they always cancel the good shows and keep the crap like Duck Dynasty???!!!

The only show I'm upset that they cancelled so far is The Crazy Ones. Duck Dynasty sells a lot of merchandise and gets really good ratings. Its cheap to film and makes a lot of money. Simple as that.

I think Gene Roddenberry said it best:
"TV only exists to sell things."
If it isn't making someone money, it isn't getting airtime. (Also - sorry your fav shows are getting axed. ::sad::)

I think it also goes along with the dumbing down of America

I can't say I'm too broken up about "Almost Human".
When I saw the trailer I was really impressed and looking forward to this show. While it had some good effects, a cool future setting and starred Karl Urban who I generally like...I just never found it engaging at all past the first episode. I actually gave up about 3 eps in.
Intelligence...well, I wanted to see that. I'd been collecting it. Now I won't even bother watching.
I can kind of understand why, it was more or less "Chuck" with a darker tone, from what I can understand.
Revolution, I am disappointed by - did it actually "end" or get resolved?
I'd been saving up this last season, but probably (again) won't even watch if it's ends on some stupid cliffhanger shit.
Duck Dynasty...I have never, nor will I ever, watch...the name alone just tells me it's a dumbshit of a show.

Revolution hasn't aired their finale yet. I believe it's next week.

That is true and agree with the idea that there is a general dumbing down of America. That's why shows like Jersey Shore, Duck Dynasty, and the Kardashian show (whatever it's called) became so popular. As for Duck Dynasty, I heard it took a big hit when it came back on. Maybe they might end up cancelling it. As for your shows, I am not familiar with those shows, but it is unfortunate, for you, they are cancelling them. Luckily, they have not cancelled any of the shows I watch yet.

Sorry, and thank you. I thought about that after I clicked "Submit New Thread". But, of course, it was too late.

So it wasn't a perfect show by any means, but I was curious as to where Dollhouse was going to go. I was disappointed it was cancelled.
Anyone upset about Community being cancelled? That show ran hot and cold for me, mostly cold, so I wasn't too choked up about it.

I never watched it. I'm not really into sitcoms. The only one I watch is Big Bang Theory. And that's not regular viewing. Just when I remember it's on.

Yeah, I love Big Bang Theory - I never watch it when it's on; I mostly watch it On Demand. My friend Michael (tall and thin and smart) wore a train shirt the other day and I almost lost my mind because it reminded me of Sheldon. Unfortunately he'd never seen the show, so my joy was completely wasted. ::embarrassment::

Watched one episode of Dollhouse and couldnt watch anymore. I really didn't like that. Joss Whedons low point to me

I was very sad to see Dracula get cancelled. I think another season and it might have gotten better ratings.
Also sad to see Almost Human go because I liked Karl Urban's Character and I think once they got into exploring what's behind the wall and who the secret group was it would have really gotten interesting.
I've been getting a little bored with Revolution so I guess I'm not too surprised that got axed.
I wish Sci-Fi channel would pickup Dracula and Almost Human and take off some of the crap reality shows.

And wrestling! I still haven't figured out what that has to do with science fiction!

(Not trying to be a wiseguy - I've only found money best explains every odd decision in TV)

I was incredibly disappointed when Arrested Development was cancelled; that was probably the first show that really upset me when it was cancelled... Of course it was picked up again by Netflix but there was quite a lot of (painful) lag between the cancellation and it getting picked up again. On a side note, after all of that waiting and anticipation, I was pretty disappointed with what Netflix had to offer in terms of continuing the series.

-Carnivale
Loved it. Got cancelled before the story was finished.
-Deadwood
Same as above.
-Lucky Louie
Starring Louis C.K.
Great R-rated sitcom, much better than the current Louie series.
Got cancelled after one season.
-jPod
One of my all time favorite series. Just brilliant.
It's a bit like Weeds but much better. Lots of interesting characters, solid casting and a great storyline. Cancelled after one season.
Damn I miss this show.
-Testees
Two friends living together and in need of money, go work for a company as human guinea pigs.
Each episode they try out some new product and hilarity ensues.
Thinking about it already makes me laugh.
Cancelled after one season.
-The Mind Of The Married Man
Another HBO series that got cancelled too soon.
-Magic City
Organised crime in sunny Miami set in 1959. Like a sunnier version of Boardwalk Empire.
Really promising series but got cancelled after 2 seasons.
At least they had the decency to wrap up the storylines.

LOVE Carnivale!!! I bought the DVDs.
I can't believe they cancelled "My Mother The Car" after only one season. Jerry Van Dyke was totally convincing in that.

I'm really torn as to whether to watch Revolution tonight. It's the last show. I have a feeling they weren't able to tie up any loose ends, and it'll be left on a cliffhanger.

Your right about GoT, there's more chance of martial law across the U.S. by late next year.

Lilyhammer
Too bad. It was fun and original.
At least the series didn't end with a cliffhanger.
Brickleberry
Not always that great but it had its moments.
Backstrom
Not great but still better than most crap on tv.
