Anyone catch this on FX this week?
No, it's not in the horror genre, but it's got some wicked violence and atmosphere to it.
I count 4 violent deaths in just the premiere. Well, one not so violent, but nonetheless, a corpse is what resulted.
And a great nail-biting conversation between Billy Bob Thornton's hitman and Collin Hanks' sheriff.
Can't wait for next week...seems more violence is forthcoming!

I watched most of the first episode, really enjoyed it. Missed the second and need to record the third episode, though I'm running low on DVR space. I love the movie too. It's a classic.

K, just On-Demand'd the first two episodes. That conversation between Thornton & Hanks at the end of episode 1 was pretty spiffy.

Overall, I like it. It isn't horror but I've never been choosy about which genre I outsource my violence, thrills, blood, death, & gore from.

Anyways - looking forward to part 3 tonight @ 10. Thanks for the rec. ::smile::

I agree...
Very nice tie-in to the movie...great throwback scene.
Nice with the bloodbath and biblical terrorizing.
Poor doggie...karambits don't mesh well with hound flesh, it seems.
And nice at Wrench and Numbers drilling holes in the ice for their victims.
So far, really good...couldn't ask for more.
Though, Nygaard needs to man up, drink a bunch of whiskey, and dig that pellet out of his hand with a pair of tweezers! It's infected and will eventually be his downfall if he doesn't get rid of that evidence...and, he'll probably lose that hand as well!

I'm really happy with this series so far. The casting is phenomenal and Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton's performances have been pretty brilliant. Lorne Malvo is diabolical in "Buridan's Ass".

Couldn't agree more. Great series. I'd put it on the same plane as Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and House of Cards. Hopefully it got enough attention for a season 2 to happen.

Allison Tolman, Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman all deserve Emmys for their performance this season.

SPOILERS...

Really happy to see Molly promoted to police chief and also glad to see her get the evidence she needed to finally arrest Lester.

Kind of disappointed that both Key & Peele had to die but other than comic relief and a line to the FBI they really didn't add much to the series. I would have like to see them used more.

Some pretty brutal gore with Malvo setting the bone and tying up his own leg.

It was actually kind of satisfying seeing Gus shoot Malvo.

Definitely a karmic ending for Lester.

It was also nice that such a dark series could end on such a happy note.

Finished watching the series.
Pretty good. Billy Bob was awesome.
Did got a bit monotone after 5, 6 episodes.
Or maybe it's because I saw all 10 episodes in 3 days.

Read that if they're gonna make a 2nd season it would be with totally different characters.

This along with Hannibal, was one of the best shows last year. The acting was phenomenal, as well as the direction and writing. It was kind of funny how Martin Freeman's character turned into Walter White towards the end but didn't have the backbone.

I heard the show returns this Fall.
