Hi all.
What is the best horror book ever written in your opinion?
Let's share our number 1 horror book of all time!
My vote goes to 'At the Mountains of Madness' by H P Lovecraft.
Try the below audiobook version.
It's even more suffocating and terrifying due to the deep and sinister voice of the narrator!

I think in general horror works better in short story format. To that end, I have always enjoyed "The Screaming Skull" by F. Marion Crawford.

H.P. LOVECRAFT, THE COMPLETE FICTION. If it isn't the "best" it certainly is indispensable.

These are all wonderful lists! The book that really intrigued me was Desperation by Stephen King.

I have to say I Am Legend--that book is badass. I had a huge falling out with my best friends years ago, and one of them met up with me at a bar a bit later to talk, and he handed me the book and said, "you are the main character in this book. It is you." I still don't know if I should be honored or offended.
