Most of you don't know me from Adam, some of you remember me from about 4 years ago when I was last posting here..

In my absence I'd been doing a lot of travelling, writing and photography for Fangoria Magazine, as well as making a couple of LOW budget horror flicks.

I was thinking - if anyone is interested - I could post a bunch of photos here - give you a look at some of the things I've been working on.

Band photography, set photography, some interview photography and a lot shot at conventions. (I had my own column re conventions that I finally gave up when I realized that I never wanted to go to another convention again :) )

Still - I amassed a ton of interesting photos.

If there is any interest I can start popping them in here - if not - understood and I wont bother .. no worries either way

I had to grow a beard for our second film - Queen of Blood ..

my pal Brenden grew one too - but we both had to shave them because the money took so long to come through (I had to eventually grow mine again)

before we shaved them off we went to his trailer and took a few pics for laughs ..

I wouldn't recommend eating them ..

it's either hated or respected .. there is no 'it was ok'

it's like a 70's European art house vampire flick .. only without the t&a

(I always say the exact same thing)

some people really get it - Rollin, Franco influences ..

but if you're looking for tits and/or gore, you'll be sadly disappointed to the point of pissed off

Remember you talking about the film location in Toronto a while back, sort of off topic but I caught the last part of a documentary on TV this morning with James Nesbitt on a tour around New Zealand and he had a walk around Sam's Pinot Noir wine vineyard.

Didn't know Sam Neill produced wine as well as acting :)

Right on that's a great looking guitar. He been playing long?

A little over a year now. He's a natural. He's got long spidery fingers
And he's young enoughy to pick it up
Without doubting his ability
The challenge is getting him away from the video games to play more
If he starts investing as much time in the guitar as he does playing games - he'll be buying his old man a mansion in a couple of years :)

I interviewed both of those guys. Lance on Skype (hearing his voice coming through my computer speakers was something else)

Met him a few times in person after that - super down to earth guy

Interviewed biehn over a breakfast in Kentucky

Molly Dunsworth with my buddy Richard A Kirk.

Richard is an amazing artist/illustrator and writer.
He's so talented that if he wasn't one of the nicest guys i know - i'd hate him ..

I met him years ago at a Toronto convention and was so impressed by both his work, his intelligence and his personality that he became the subject of my first full length print feature in Fangoria.

He did one of the Korn covers, and illustrated several works of Clive Barker - including the recent anniversary edition of Weaveworld.

He's an avid reader and decided to write a novella a couple of years ago and created one of the best pieces of fiction i've read in many years (The Lost MAchine) - the guy is incredible.

I recommend you google him and check out his work ..

here's a fun one ..

A couple of years ago i was returning from a company event around 4:30 PM.
I was stopped behind another car who was making a left hand turn into a residence.
We had to wait quite a while because of the oncoming traffic - so we were probably there for 90 seconds or more.

All of a sudden i found myself being thrown around the van ..
my seat broke and i went back…my cameras and lenses were flying around (i had them out because i had recently stopped to shoot a landscape)

There was no warning - no tires squealing …
the guy in the little car hit me dead on - no attempt to stop. He could have seen me a half a mile away stopped - but for some unknown reason he just plowed into me.
He made a last second attempt to swerve - hitting me 3/4 - driving me into oncoming traffic - if i hadn't hit the car in front of me i would have been hit by oncoming cars.

i had a sore neck and a scraped arm but was otherwise unharmed - until i punched my car when i saw the camera gear all over the inside of the van. (amazingly - nothing was damaged - just a slightly cracked lens hood)

the van was deemed beyond repair - so now i have another one - black - a couple of years newer.

never found out what happened to the idiot behind me but the police was pretty sure he was getting charged.

I'll agree with the texting......people are idiots. I was behind some dude a couple of years back, and he was swerving all over the road. As I pulled next to him it get away from what I was sure was drunk, I noticed he had a newspaper on his steering wheel.....the fucking idiot was reading the newspaper at 70 MPH

I see people texting every day on the way to work. I try to pull up beside them and honk

The worst part of my accident is that I had to work the next day - then drive to Cleveland for a convention where I was shooting Linnea

Luckily the insurance company had a loaner for me right away
I had a bit of a delayed reaction though - about 90 min into our shoot Saturday night, Linnea says - youre looking white - and we stopped because I was feeling off
Fine the next day though
