Hello horror enthusiasts!
What we have here is a bit of shameful promotion for my new ebook entitled: CRAPLET The Abbreviated Tales of S.R. Tooms (http://www.amazon.com/Craplet-Abbreviated-Tales-Tooms-ebook/dp/B00FQ82OAA/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1381300851&sr=1-1)
Below is a sampling eerily similar to the type of stories that are written within its pages. If you have a love for the dark and macabre (with a bit of humor thrown in), please swing by and take a look at this new collection. If not, I hope you at least enjoy the tale :)
From the time I was little there’s been one thing I’ve always wanted… that I could never have. No matter how many times I asked, no matter who I asked, no matter when I asked… I found myself forever denied. I thought this would be one of those things, a life lesson you might say.
The other day when I came home from school, I noticed a strange discoloration on the sidewalk -- a kind of oozy slime trail that led up to the front door. I turned the knob and walked inside, still a little unsure of what the substance could be. And as I strolled in, I heard a clatter coming from the kitchen. The slime track moved in this same direction. “Mom?” I called out.
“In here,” she said cheerfully.
Into the kitchen I went… and this is where I saw it. The first thing I noticed was my father’s severed torso (with the gory head still attached) resting by the stove. Next there came my brother – or at least a piece of him, located inside the jaws of some large, dripping creature which stood before me. I saw more clearly now. My brother’s leg wedged between its teeth and my smiling mother standing beside it.
“You always wanted a pet,” she gushed.
