After posting that top 75 best horror movies of all time according to Rotten Tomatoes link, I decided to create my own list, but this one being my top 100 (instead of 75). I am sure that some people will disagree with my list and if you do you may share your thoughts in this thread. If there are any films that I omitted that you believe should be added, then you may tell me what they are and explain why you believe that they should have been included. I thought the film was quite brilliant personally. The acting was excellent and very convincing. The direction was very well-done. The story was very unique and interesting. The characters well-developed and the score was very good too. I also thought the film was funny and I especially enjoyed how the film was self-aware. Furthermore, it is excellent as a psychological thriller. To me, it is an all-around great film. Not to mention it revived the horror genre in the 1990s. I realize that many people will disagree with me, but I really enjoy this this film (and Wes Craven also happens to be my favorite director).

Very funny. I tried to ensure that there was plenty of variety because, honestly, I really enjoy virtually all genres and periods of the horror genre (except maybe exploitation and torture genres).

I look for the same things in horror films I do for any story: caring about the characters, character development, having something worthwhile to say about life, humankind, ourselves, nature of reality, interesting things to think about, and the such.

Great list, but I have a couple of critiques.

-I wouldn't put "Scream" (Wes Craven) at the top of the list, especially because your other elite films such as "Halloween" (John Carpenter) and "The Shining" (Stanley Kubrick) are right up there

-I think you missed out on including "Valentine" (2001 - director: Jamie Blanks) in your list

"Valentine" (2001) is about an eerie cupid-masked serial killer who stalks people associated by youth on Valentine's Day.

This rather under-rated modern horror film takes the best elements from "Scream" (Wes Craven) and "Urban Legend" (Jamie Blanks) to weave an occasion-goosebumps tale.

I'd be psyched to see a "Christine" (1983) sequel, perhaps starring Mila Kunis and Jude Law.

I noticed "My Bloody Valentine" (1981), a classic indeed, is on your list though!
