Hi all,

Just joined this forum as I am currently in post-production of a horror movie (AfterDeath: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2710826/ ) and thought I'd drop in for a chat about horror films and films in general. Great community here - loving the great reaction to the troll in this thread! http://www.horror.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63068

Hi acheron! Great to see you here.
Watched your trailer, I love the cinematography. I'm interested in watching the whole movie XD. Is it going to be released only in UK, worldwide or straight to DVD type?

We're still in early stages of post-production so haven't finalised distribution yet - but the intention is for worldwide distribution and limited theatrical depending on the territory. Glad you liked the trailer - we'll have further trailers once we've got further along the line and have more VFX to play with :)

Welcome to the Graveyard!!

The premise for your film sounds pretty good, I'm intrigued, to say the least! One small caveat...where's the trailer? Tokyo mentioned they saw it, but I've looked on the iMDB and I looked on YouTube.

Could you link me?

At any rate, welcome again! Stay long and post often!!

Thanks StarChild! I think I need to play with my tags on youtube so that it comes up more easily on a search. Problem is youtube automatically 'corrects' AfterDeath to After Death - which the film isn't called. Hmm!

I take it you've had a watch now - what did you think?

I clicked on the link, expecting some bullshit, but actually enjoyed the trailer. I would watch it, for sure.

I loved the trailer!

Looks pretty thought provoking, a thinking-man's horror flick. I'm excited to see it, and I wish you the best of luck and a healthy amount of success.

Also, the cinematography looks stellar. I especially like the stark contrast between the dull and grey beach and the well lit insides of the cabin.

:)

Thanks guys... yes the choice to make the film look different to other horror films out there was very deliberate. Things don't HAVE to be dark to be scary... :D

I actually find movies that are NOT dark to be scary. Because that's realism. Classic movies are not always dark, and I find those to be the most terrifying. :D
