I just went to rent a movie, and I wasnt even expecting it, but there on the shelf was Bubba Ho-Tep. It was $3 and I only had $2. I was majorly pissed, but I'll get it tomorrow.

Weren't you the same guy who passed up evil dead because you didn't have three dollars on you?...Perhaps you should invest in a... wallet...or a credit card...or checking...See this movie...and those others...as soo as you can ^-^;. I finally found a place that had Bubba Ho-tep for rent and ah, I was certainly not dissapointed. GREAT movie.

Heard about it....have not seen it yet. Though I heard it kicks ass.

Not exactly horror material.....just like most Bruce Campbell movies...like dark comedy.

Yes, Bruce plays Old Elvis

The movie had this whole sombre, melancholy kinda "feel" about it throughout, it definately had it's funny moments, had it's sad moments, and of course, had it's "what the fuck" moments.
In a word, it was enthralling, but I cannot explain why.
Can't put my finger on why I came out thinking this either - but this film had STYLE.
IMO it had an excellently well suited soundtrack too.

There's my reply for the soundtrack thread too, Bubba Ho Tep has my favourite horror type score/soundtrack at the moment.

this movie is spectacular.. and some of the dialogue is just the most witty and unexpected lines to ever come from bruce campbell... it's insanity...

Finally saw this two weeks ago. I was really surprised, given the ridiculous premise, how seriously the movie took itself. It was awesome. Bruce Campbell is the best elvis ever. Even better than elvis.

It is very good. My fiance thought that i was going to make her sit through a 90 minute crapfest, but even she enjoyed it quite a bit.

It has an absolutely ridiculous premise, but it takes itself very seriously and pulls it off great. :)

Plus, there is nothing like watching old elvis go speeding after a mummy in cowboy boots with an electric wheelchair...

Elvis and a dyed JFK fighting a mummy. Its about time we get a good movie with some imagination instead of the same ole retreads. Def worth a purchase or at the very least, rent it. Bruce was TCB fer sure.
