"I reckon you were having a nasty nightmare the way you where tossing and turning." The voice caught Mark by surprise, making him jump back a little. He turned his head to see the person next to him smiling. The man was a tall, african american, wearing the kind of uniform postmen wear. "Um, yeah, you could say that. Listen, I don't like talking to people I don't know, so..." said Mark.
"If that's the case, then how will you ever meet someone, eh Mark?" This caught Mark by surprise, not once had he told this man his name. "Hold on, how the hell do you know my name? Who are you?" At this the man burst out in laughter. It took a minute or two to for him to calm down, when he did, he started to speak again. "Names Howard, Howard Blackwood. As for how I know your name, you muttered it in your sleep."
"Guess that makes sense." Mark said, still somewhat concerned.
"So where ya hedded Mark?"
"Theirs a town called Silent Hill, I'm going their for my cousin's funeral."
"Ah, Silent Hill. nice quit town, I work their as postman." As Howard spoke, Mark went back to starring out the window. The thick fog covering the plane showed no signs of holding up. Great, thought Mark, I fucking hate the fog. "Well Mark, hope you have a nice time in town, and good luck, you'll need it." Once again, Howard caught Mark by surprise, he had quickly changed from his jokingly light tone, to a more serious and dark tone. Mark turned his head to see what Howard was playing at, but found the seat he was in empty. Must have gone to the bathroom, Mark thought too himself.
At that instant, the plane started to shake violently. A sudden plunge sent Mark head first into the seat ahead of him, knocking him out.
