Just curious, where all yall creeps met your wives/ husbands/ partners. And if they partake in your horror passion or if they kind of do their own thing?

I met mine online on a forum! He has shown me most of the good horror ive seen though i was into horror before i didnt know that much about it.

Before i met him i spent my time researching serial killers and watching movies and he spent his time watching movies and playing survival horrors.

Kind of stuck in this forever alone state. Boys cant hang.but its nice to know you can have a sucessful relationship even though a partner isnt interested in your passions. I just always figured to look for someone who could share them

Met her during the blizzard of 78? I still have pictures and the 'I survived the blizzard of 78' T-shirt. Or was the 76? :) Sounds like quite a story! Did you dig her car out for her?

I seem to be chronically single. And actually, in many cases, my passion for horror scares off guys  I guess it's not considered very "woman-like". I'm a complete tomboy anyway, so if that's the problem, then they might as well keep on running :D

Well if it helps at all.... I am not a tomboy. Still imposible. Which sucks because my life is finally coming together awesome job, new car, i'm in awesome health.... except for uber depression stemming from loneliness. Think I should give up my guts and gore for a jersey shore marathon. Men seem more receptive to that

See I just found a guy as psycho as me.

If a guy doesn't like you for who you are then he's not worth the time and effort.

No guy I have ever dated was into horror as much as I am. My last boyfriend was mostly into comedies and the guy I'm currently dating is into karate movies. Neither one was a big fan of horror but would watch some with me cause they knew how much I love it.

I think the weirdest part of that was living in the wife's basement! Did she know lol

LOL! I think I saw a horror about that... Wife: "Operator, where are these crank calls of screeching cats coming from?" ... Operator: "Ma'am, they're coming from your basement!"

No...nothing romantic like that...The Blizzard of 78 for me and my friends was pretty much a week long party....everybody within walking distance would meet on my corner [ the party corner] and she was introduced by a mutual friend.

That totally sucks - Have you seen the movie and/or show Catfish? Maybe I'm just naive but I've had good luck meeting people online - If I were single I'd probably troll this place for a mate.

Introduced? I'd like to imagine some kind of debonair Newb Pickup Line...

Baby it's cold outside... How 'bout I warm you up? ;)

As for me, I met my fiance at Monster.com, where we both worked (he still works there and I've moved on)... We actually bonded over watching horror movies... I hadn't seen very many up until that point and my boyfriend at the time refused to watch horror movies with me (and snubbed me for even wanting to watch horror movies)... Our first date was Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning in theaters and I remember our early stay-at-home movie nights were comprised of random horror movies - Hostel, Prince of Darkness, Session 9... We had a mini-tradition of going to see the After Dark Horror movies in the theater (too bad they all pretty much suck now), and horror is definitely our "thing," as much as my friends think it's weird.

I met my current partner at work. Yeah I know, workplace relationships and all that :)

While she is not a "horror fan" per se, we both enjoy watching a wide range of films. She will watch and enjoy horror films with me. She will even watch quite disturbing stuff like I Spit On Your Grave and the August Underground films - although I didn't start with these. I actually wanted our relationship to last :)

She is, in fact, a fan of cinema in general. We will watch anything from classic silent films to documentaries and anything else you can think of. She has actually expanded my viewing significantly, and I think I have done the same for her. We have recently been watching a fair bit of obscure Australian grindhouse/exploitation. Something that neither of us had really seen much of previously.
