I wanted to get horror fans thoughts on an online horror film festival for indie films. As far as I know, there are currently zero online horror fest and not that many online film festivals period.
The films would be available to watch online for a period of time and fans would be able to watch and rate the films and decide winners. You would be able to watch the films via a tablet, phone, computer, and possibly smart tv's through vimeo.
We would also feature industry session articles and video interviews.
We are searching for honest feedback or ideas you may have. Is this something you would attend. Would you honestly pay a small fee to watch the films?

Intresting, I dont think it would work. film festivals brings people to one location in person, to chat about what they love and have a passion for, Film. Were a online film festival would bring people togather to do what we can already do on other chat sites/stream sites. Monster channel dose this for free already(http://www.100ymm.com/) or film festivals have done a live stream of speakers before/web content, however a festival is all about hanging out, networking, having fun with people who share your passions in film, horror or whatever you go to a festival for. Now, streaming new films online in a Horror host show setting is not a bad idea, like Elvira and asking for people to submit films to a competition could work, it has been done before. When I think of film festival I think of hang out with people, having a beer, talking face to face with people, meeting people in real life, vendors with cool stuff, meeting filmmakers and actors and stuff like that.
Also Fullmoon has an App called Grind house pay 1.99 to rent a film to watch, or itunes you can buy a film before it comes out in theaters, with cool stuff from the filmmaker or actors. actors and filmmakers sometimes will jump on a chat site with fans and do a talk/answer questions season. This is fun and people do these things but they do it for free/PR for something, I.E. filmmakers and actors want to conncet with there fans, becasue with out there fans they would not be were they are today. also some film festivals have "text" voting already, it seem like you want people to pay for a popularity contest/webzine, not a film festival. which there are a lot of well Known Webzines that do what you are talking about with and with out a small fee. Your idea would work for a webzine or a web horror host show and asking people to vote on the the top five films you show. A online Film festival not so much, I like hanging out with people and talking "Horror movies" with people and seeing people dress up and the such... yeah, my honest feedback, I could be wrong tho...
