Just thought I would post to say hi to every one. I am new to the forum and forums in general. I haves loved horror since I was about 9. Some of my all time favourites are - evil dead, nightmare on elm street, hellraiser, chopper chicks in zombie town and puppet master. I will watch almost anything :)

Chopper Chicks of Zombie Town? That was an interesting selection, especially with all those other more famous (I think Puppetmaster is famous). I loved all of those films, except the Zombie Town one, simply because I have never seen it. I try to belay judgment on films, horror or otherwis until I have seen them and I will do the same for that film. I too have recently joined, and have watched horror films since I was five. I currently own about 320 horror movies and have seen somewhere around 370 or more. I like a great variety of horror films from Dracula and Frankenstein of the 1930s to the Hammer films of the 50s and 60s to the Demonic films like the Omen in the 1970s to the slashers of the same period until about the the 1990s, even to the films of the 00s and 10s (2000s and 2010s). Although, I am not a big fan of all the torture films.

Chopper chicks is a bit slap stick but it is one I watched when I was really young. If you like low budget that's does not take its self to serious then I would recommend it. I love all kinds if movies mostly from the 1970s and 80s. I am not that keen on gore movies that just try to be as disturbing as possable I prefer a bit of a story in my films.

I will have to watch it. I agree, as I mentioned, I do not like the torture films. There are a number of relatively gory films that I like, such as Hellraiser though, but I often have to look away when it gets especially gory. Also, in movies in general and horror especially the story is the most important aspect of the film. There are films with less story that I like, but they are not particulary high on my favorites list. There are films from many time periods that I like, as I mentioned. Even in the modern period there are films that are not very gory and others that have more gore that are actually really good and have superb stories. These films are sometimes popular, but there are quite a few in the modern period that were not and are actually really good (such as Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon and the significantly gory, but still really good movie Splinter).

I only watched nightmare on elm street in russian. I was about eight, nine, refusing to go to sleep because I absolutely had to watch it, then refusing to go to sleep because I was too scared.
