The Expendables 2 is out this week, and to celebrate, we sat down with producer Avi Lerner to discuss the movie.

And, during our chat, Lerner revealed that he’s in talks with some of the biggest names in cinema for Expendables 3.

“We’ve approached Clint Eastwood to be one of the guys, we’ve got a character in mind for him. We’re talking to Harrison Ford. [And we want] Wesley Snipes when he comes back from prison. I’ll give you one more name, we’ve got Nicolas Cage to play [one of the characters].”

“And we’re going to bring Mickey Rourke back, if he won’t be too crazy. I like Mickey. And of course, all the existing stars [will return]”.

Had to laugh yesterday,i watched Big Stan. And i couldnt help but smile when the scene in the yard with Big Stan telling everyone they cannot rape each other, and Randy Couture asks if they can rape the rapist and child molesters in the prison and is upset when told he cannot.

A far cry from his butch persona in the Expendables.:D

Chuck Norris Won't Return In 'The Expendables 3'

"The Expendables 3" might be lining up a pretty impressive group of new actors to join the cast, but it turns out that not all of the big names from "The Expendables 2" are planning to return. In a new interview, Chuck Norris said that one "Expendables" film will be more than enough for him.

When speaking with Access Hollywood at "The Expendables 2" premiere, Norris admitted that he has no plans to return for future sequels.

At least Nicolas Cage is coming on board for number three, and there's the possibility that Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, Mickey Rourke or Wesley Snipes join the film as well.

Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage, and Wesley Snipes Confirmed for THE EXPENDABLES 3; Milla Jovovich Joins Cast

It seems like the goal of The Expendables movies is to put together a dream-team action cast, and then figure out the plot. Audiences have been pleased with the line-ups of the past films, and producer/star Sylvester Stallone is hoping to keep fans happy.

We previously reported that Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, and Nicolas Cage were all circling The Expendables 3, and now it looks like Stallone has got them. According to Deadline, the three actors are in “advanced negotiations” to join the film, and Milla Jovovich is also in talks to fight in the boys’ club.

Jovovich could be a fun addition to the mix, and the series has definitely run short on female firepower. Audiences love her in the Resident Evil franchise, and I don’t think they’ll have any problem seeing her kicking ass alongside Stallone, Statham, et al.

Sylvester Stallone's third aging action hero mash-up movie, The Expendables 3, is shooting in Bulgaria right now.

Here are some official details from Lionsgate and Sly himself:-

Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews and Arnold Schwarzenegger will return.
Conspicuous by their absence are Mickey Rourke, Chuck Norris and, of course, Bruce Willis.

Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson and Harrison Ford are the all-star newcomers.
Dismiss those Nic Cage and/or Jackie Chan fantasies from your mind except to pray that they appear in The Expendables 4 (if they make 4).

The slightly less all-star names also joining the cast include Kellan "Emmett Cullen in Twilight" Lutz, MMA star Ronda Rousey, welterweight boxing champion Victor Ortiz and 24-year-old young 'un Glen Powell.

The director of 2010 western Red Hill, Patrick Hughes, is helming the threequel, replacing Expendables 2's Simon West (of Con Air fame).

The writers of Olympus Has Fallen, Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt, have written this one with Stallone himself.

And now... the plot.

"In The Expendables 3, Barney Ross (Stallone), Lee Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team come face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought.

"Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables, but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet."

Releasing on August 15 next year.

These movies have no artistic merit...but I've been around long enough to appreciate these as just a hell of a lot of fun.

i really dont like them at all ..

Rourke in the first one, and Van Damme in the second ..

other than that - pretty much unwatchable
