The film stars Michelle Ryan, Rasmus Hardiker and Harry Treadaway as cousins who decide to rob a bank so that they'll have enough money to save their old granddad (Alan Ford) from having to leave his retirement home for some remote northern location. Mid-heist, however, a zombie epidemic reaches apocalyptic proportions and the trio have to fight their way clear - even as the pensioners face their own fight for survival.
It's all directed by Matthias Hoene and written by James Moran and Lucas Roche.
Cockneys Vs. Zombies hits cinemas on August 31.

Maybe its a precursor for several regional zombie films!?? Scousers versus Zombies/Geordies vs Zombies etc.??

Cockneys vs. Zombies has released a new red-band trailer in which a horde of the undead go toe to toe with a posse of jellied eel quaffing, convoluted rhyme spouting Eastenders.
Written by Severance scribe James Moran, this claret-spattered tear-up between the living and the nearly-dead sees Michelle Ryan, Alan Ford and Richard Briers tooling up to protect their corner of the capital from a plague of zombies.
Directed by Matthias Hoene, Cockneys vs. Zombies opens in the UK on 31 August 2012, and will receive its world premiere at FrightFest on 23 August.
