I've got quite a few of these in my head and thought it might be a good time waster. I'm thinking about throwing out one of these a day and tallying up the results after 24 hours, or if someone else wants to post one they can. It's up to whoever wants to chime in I guess, but I'd be interested to see where/how you'd take your chances so feel free to comment.
First question:
Would you rather be stranded on a space ship with the creatures from "Alien" or stranded on the "Predator" home world?

Space ship. Seems like the Predator's home world is really hot, and I don't deal with hot weather well. :D

Oh boy, oh boy, I'd love just five minutes alone with a xenomorph! Space ship for me, too! :D
The Villain

The Predator's home planet. Depending on which type of Predator i'm dealing with (if were including Predators) then i think i might have a good chance against them. They're eyesight isn't that good and they are noble fighters.

Ok, today's question:
Would you rather go to summer camp at Camp Crystal Lake (Friday The 13th) or Camp Arawak (Sleepaway Camp)?
first question: Predator home world...I'd rather take my chances outside
second question: Jason has something like 150 kills total to his credit so I'll take my chances with the chick w/ dick, Angela...who only has a mere 50 or so kills
The Villain
06-26-2012, 08:26 AM
Camp Crystal Lake. At least I'd die having sex

Would you rather be stranded on a space ship with the creatures from "Alien" or stranded on the "Predator" home world?
Predator home world, easily. Specially if I get to steal some cool Predator weapons & that mask which enables near-invisibility!
Would you rather go to summer camp at Camp Crystal Lake (Friday The 13th) or Camp Arawak (Sleepaway Camp)?
Wouldn't dare take my chances against Jason. Camp Arawak for me, plus Angela is a more easy opponent.

I'll take Camp Arawak.

Interesting thoughts :)
Today's question:
Would you rather have Nancy Thompson (Nightmare On Elm St) or Laurie Strode (Halloween) for a best friend?
hammerfan
06-27-2012, 07:03 AM
Nancy. She knows how to set booby traps.

Laurie Strode because she's tough as hell and pissed.
ImmortalSlasher
06-27-2012, 02:04 PM
These are good questions.
First question's answer: The space ship with the creatures from Alien. Why? Because Predators kick butt and there is no way I would survive with a bunch of them tracking me. Plus, that planet must be full of all kinds of exotic bugs that just might get me before the Predators...
Second question's answer: Camp Arawak from Sleepaway Camp. Why? Because I've had a dream about Jason coming after me. It's no joke not being able to escape that guy and getting a fire axe to the face. Then waking up in a cold sweat. Besides Angela isn't that bad as long as you don't act up. At least from what I remember about the Sleepaway Camp movies.
Third question's answer: Laurie Strode (Halloween) for a best friend. Why? She's the perfect babysitter. Plus, she's cool.

Would you rather hold up in a Mall (ala Dawn Of The Dead) or an Underground Military Base (ala Day Of The Dead) during a zombie apocalypse?
hammerfan
06-28-2012, 06:48 AM
Definitely a mall.
Definitely a mall.
yeah......no question there
Arbie
06-28-2012, 08:07 AM
A mall. Most of the shoppers at the one nearest to me act like zombies anyway, so I think I'm in with some good practice! :p
CaptainSpaulding
06-28-2012, 09:16 AM
1.) Predator Homeworld cuz it's outside and we all now know the mud trick 2.) Crystal Lake cuz I am too much of a F13th fan to turn that down 3.) Strode cuz I could purposefully live across town from her and Michael would stay over there 4.) Mall cuz you could entertain yourself better and not feel as trapped

Question of the day:
Would you rather have a pet Krite (or Crite) from "Critters" or a pet Ghoulie from "Ghoulies"?
hammerfan
06-29-2012, 07:21 AM
Hmmm......
Ghoulie
_____V_____

- Nancy Thompson. Severe childhood crush.

- the underground military base, with an endless pack of all sorts of weapons.

Anyway, today's question:

Anyway, today's question:
Would you rather spend the weekend at the Bates Motel (Psycho) or the Overlook Hotel (The Shining)?
The Bates Motel. I like old by the highway motels. Plus, I would probably survive the night. At the Overlook having the devil attempting to make deals with me and other ghosts roaming around would be too much.
Would you rather go Shark Hunting with Quint, Hooper, or Chief Brody (Jaws)?
I need to have a Jaws viewing. I haven't seen it in a while to answer.

Quint. He may have died but he was a badass

This may be a trick question. I mean, as Zombies are such fussy eaters, could either be considered a good dinner guest? Imagine the embarrassment, you spend all day preparing Butternut Squash Soup, Presented with a Seared Sea Scallop, Chive Oil and Young Seedlings followed by Roasted Beet Carpaccio, Presented with Seared Goat Cheese, Beet Syrup, Aged Balsamic Reduction and Mache Greens and finally Vanilla Bean Infused Panna Cotta Nova Scotia Ice Wine Marinated Berries, and Chocolate Lattice for those two fuckers to demand 'brains, brains!'. The Necronomicon, of course. (seeing as how ED II is one of my all-time favorite films)
Would you rather have your soul transferred into a Good Guys Doll (Child's Play) or a Killer Snowman (Jack Frost)?
Ergh. But if I must choose, the doll. (Chucky is slightly more tolerable than the horrible Snowman)
Would you rather find Leprechaun's Coins (Leprechaun) or the Fire Opal containing the Djinn (Wishmaster)?
Djinn's Opal. Don't forget you get the wishes, and one can always wish for Leprechaun's coins. (I would skip that anyhow because I hate the Leprechaun with a passion)

The Villain
07-25-2012, 06:29 PM
The coins. There's always another way to kill The Leprechaun...hell even the coins are a weakness.
The Ring video. You get 7 days as opposed to just being hideously murdered and there's a way out of getting killed with the tape and even if you don't, before you die you get to see the best 3D movie experience ever.

Today's question is a more general because there are lots of movies dealing with similar scenarios.
Would you rather be "The Mad Scientist" or the "Mad Scientist's Creation"?
(And yes, sometimes the creation is a new life ala Frankenstein, but sometimes the creation is a new aspect of yourself ala Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, not to mention that usually the creation turns on it's master. It could be either or, pick a side and take your chances)

Both have low chances for survival but I'll take Antarctica. If only because I've seen The Thing tons of times and might survive. Besides, Alien vs Predator sucks and I'm trying not to remember it.

I should have been a little more clear, but just to clarify, both took place in Antarctica. Both had research teams. So basically you're in Antarctica with a research team, but you're going to either run across The Thing or find an old temple and get stuck in the Alien vs. Predator conflict.

The future for the previous question and Alien vs. Predator. More chances to live, just sneak away and let them kill each other

That shows you how little I remember about that Aliens vs Predator movie. Still sticking with The Thing.

Question for the day.
Would you rather be stuck in Antarctica with a research team facing off against "The Thing" (John Carpenter's 1982 Thing) or caught in the middle of a Hunting Ground Rite Of Passage (Alien Vs. Predator)?
Antartica, definitely. I could destroy the Thing.

I'd probably be killed in both scenarios but I'll go with Alien VS Predator just cos The Thing would scare me more.

Think I have to go with The Predator. I mean...at least he has SOME code of honour. I'd just injure myself and stay unarmed.

I choose The Thing. Not as intelligent as the Predator and not as deadly as the Alien.

Would you rather see a new "Nightmare On Elm St." movie with Robert England returning as Freddy or a new "Evil Dead" movie with Bruce Campbell returning as Ash?

I haven't seen Evil Dead yet. But I think I'll say Evil Dead since the Nightmare remake sucked and from what I understand/know of the Nightmare series. They became silly after the first few with England. After all England was in Freddy vs Jason which was bad.

Predator, you can use all kinds against them(coating yourself in mud etc) where as you can really only lure an Alien into a trap pretty much.
I'd much rather fight with a predator.
The Villain

I wouldn't want to see another Nightmare. I liked the way the series ended with New Nightmare (Not counting Freddy vs. Jason) but i think another Evil Dead movie would be awesome.

Alright, new question, although along the lines of the previous question:
Would you rather see a new "Halloween" movie (continuing on from the original series) directed by John Carpenter or a new Friday The 13th movie (continuing on from the original series) with Kane Hodder back as Jason?

Have to take Friday the 13th with Kane Hodder. Halloween is perfect. There isn't a perfect Friday the 13th. Give Kane Hodder another shot with a good story and cast.

Real tough question, realdealblues, and I've been turning over the question in my head for hours all night since I love both series and it would be great to see both Michael and Jason back on the big screen. But ultimately I think Jason can still be taken in new directions that are unavailable for Michael Myers. The (more) supernatural element gets him that (although a "Friday the 13th" without Camp Crystal Lake makes as little, if even less, sense as a "Halloween" without Haddonfield).
Can't we have a Michael vs. Jason film. :D

No. Just no.
The more I think about it. I don't know why the remake even attempted to compress Friday the 13th 1, 2, & 3. They would have been better off making a simple Jason story. Having the back story told by the kids or something like in Friday the 13th Part 2.

New Question for Today.
Would you rather have your town be under siege by Giant Insects ala (Them!, Eight Legged Freaks, Attack Of The Giant Leeches, etc) or from the underground snakes know as "Graboids" ala (Tremors)?

Giant insects. At least you can run away from there. You never know when the Graboids are going to show up!

Ditto...only just though-I mean Bela Lugosi (judging from a recent documentary I saw) seemed to be very guarded giving very little away almost like he was acting a bit off screen-I just feel personally I could get to KNOW Karloff better.

Boris Karloff. I would be ecstatic to meet either, but I have enjoyed Karloff's movies more, and he also was in many more than Lugosi. Plus as said above he would be easier to talk to and know.
