Does this episode sound familiar to anyone?

A man drives through a dark blue barrier and arrives in a strange town. He stays the night in a hotel. After members of the hotel and town try to force him to stay, he flees the town and drives back to normal space where everything is no longer dark blue. It appears the townspeople cannot cross this barrier.

He somehow gets in an accident and ends up in an ambulance. The ambulance drivers reveal themselves as monsters and bring him back to the town.

Any help is appreciated!

I don't know what tv show this was but the first paragraph sounds like it could have been influenced by a very creepy story called "The Humgoo" by R. Chetwynd-Hayes from his collection THE MONSTER CLUB. The second paragraph sounds similar to "He'll Come Knocking At Your Door", a very bizarre frightening story by Robert R. McCammon. Even if these are not the inspiration for the show you're looking for they're well worth reading if you ever come across them. Beware the McCammon, the ending is like nothing I've ever read before.

Sounds like it's out of an anthology show... maybe 80s Twilight Zone, Tales From The Darkside? Not to sure but maybe check that out.

Wow thanks for helping me find it! It's called The Lost Village from The Monster Club! The man befriends a Humgoo and it's on YouTube! I've been wondering where I saw this episode for MANY YEARS! The ending scared the crap out of me as a kid!

sfear - THANKS A LOT!!!

No problem. Glad I could help. I just read the book last October as one of my Halloween reads and enjoyed it immensely. I liked the title and cover so much I use it as my avatar (you probably already noticed that). Didn't know it was a movie, gonna half to check that out myself.
