Hi. I'm working on a research paper about why people like horror. I've prepared a short survey. I figured it'd be best to target people who are familiar with, and preferably fans of, the genre.
The survey is very short and shouldn't take more than a minute or so to fill out. I would really appreciate you guys filling this out honestly.
Thanks
- Justin

I am into horror because of the song-and-dance routines.

You are more than welcome to use the answers I gave the last 50 "new" members who asked the exact same question and then disappeared.

I like horror because that's the way I was born.

The sad truth about the state of horror movies today is the same as with the rest of the entertainment spectrum: The tendency of market researchers to try to boil entertainment down to demographically-targeted elements is exactly the reason why so many movies are lifeless, dull, mechanically calculated, mathematically devised, and un-entertaining.

They told me horror would get the girls.
It hasn't worked.
I want my money back.

Excellent..
i took the survey but think it was too short and should have left some space for open ended comments. D- on survey construction!

I'm not in market research, I'm a college student. This is for an assignment and I didn't pick the topic. I'm a horror fan myself, but I generally prefer to not think about why I like them.

I actually agree with you. I had more questions and had originally planned on leaving them all short answer instead of multiple choice. My professor suggested I do this instead.
Thanks for taking the survey.

The assignment is to do a survey and write an analysis of the results.

I like horror because, to me, the word always sounds a little like 'whorer', and it has been a life long ambition of mine to be one. It didn't quite happen for me but, at least, I will always have Amsterdam...

Took the survey but, like everbody said, it's too short. I'm sure you know what you're looking for but a more elaborate questionnaire might've churned out something quite interesting when compiling the info.
Good luck with your project anyways!

I'm going to be honest - Like others, I'm really not sure how you will derive any meaningful statistics from that survey.
But I took it, nonetheless.

I did the survey too! I liked it because it was so short. But it should've been longer!
