I gotta think Tree of Life is the favorite, though I can see The Descendants mounting a challenge for those who found the film too "weird."

WHIPPED!!!
But seriously, Bridesmaids was a fun watch. I doubt that's enough to give it an Oscar nomination tho.

I think this time the Academy got an interesting opportunity to do something very rare & original...by NOT declaring any winner in the major categories..."Sorry, the academy hasn't find any of them Oscar-worthy! Try something really better next time. Good night.":D

Most of the technical awards were taken by Martin Scorcese's visually impressive Hugo, but it was heartening to see The Artist winning all the major Oscars this year. A truly magnificent film based on the silent era of film-making. I urge everyone strongly to check it out asap.
Truly, the year of The Artist in 2012 Oscars.
And I predict that Prometheus will take at least one Oscar next year. What say?

And have you seen The Iron Lady?
No which is why i didn't comment on it. I based my opinion off the performances i had seen. Now that isn't really a fair opinion but since when are opinions fair? I'm sure Streep's performance was great and if i ever do see The Iron Lady and change my mind, then i will recant but seeing how i didn't at this moment i think Viola Davis should have won.

Man Drive got cheated. It deserved an Oscar for cinematography alone and was a far more worthy nomination than Moneyball (can't comment on the others as I've yet to watch them).
i really like The ARTIST - thought the DECENDANTS was overrated
got me a copy of The Artist but the sound was all fucked up
