Yes, it's a great movie. The visuals and audio contribute much to the atmosphere. Although , the story itself is a bit thin the whole visual motif of Suspiria carries it through. Watch it with Inferno as well. :p

I really liked Suspiria, it has a great musical score by Goblin and has excellent use of color to make it pretty creepy.
A true classic

maybe good enough to give some other argento a chance?
if so, be careful which as the wrong choice may put you off.

inferno, tenebrae, opera and his early giallo films are his best in my opinion.

It has been many years since I have seen this. The one with Jessica Harper from Phantom of The Paradise right? Remember her going to live in a school or something, and witches? Please refresh my memory someone!
I know I liked it at the time anyway!

I've never liked Suspria. I was hyped so much to me that it fell flat. Just not my cup of tea.

I must've been told to watch this movie about a million times. I am very dissapointed in myself for never listening to people. I think it is about time I buy it.

Not to ressurrect a really old thread, but i didnt feel like starting my owen on this...
I saw this for the first time this weekend, and i have to say.... Meh...
Didnt care for it. It was like watching a cross between a horror movie and a spaghetti western. I give them credit for being innovative enough to use real meat for some of the effects, but it gets ruined when red paint is coming out of the wounds.
Although, i did rather enjoy the scene where the girl falls into the razor wire... that was classic :D

Another great film. I've heard Argento is going to be making the "thrid mother" film sometime soon.
