You bastard! Oh you! Grrrrrrr

I just wanted to say that. You know, to enliven the day here. How's it going?? Has anyone done any fun Halloween things? Maybe decorated you homes? Tell me about your Halloween fun this season.

I'm going to the renaissance faire today (parenfaire.com). The last couple weekends are dubbed "Halloween Days and Spooky Nights". I'm not putting on a costume, but I AM wearing my "Dog Soldiers" t-shirt. I have not decorated my house, I just haven't had time, which really sucks!

BTW, crabby, I heard your sound byte on neverendingwonder. There's no way you're old enough to remember what Halloween in the 70s was like!

Been listening to creepy music and halloween videos all month. Set up my Lemax Spooky Town Village.....got about 9 pieces....the damn things are expensive so every year I add a piece or two.

Oh sorry, I just had the need to say that. But seriously, I am definitely old enough to remember Halloween in the 70's! I am an ooooooooold timer!~

we have one of those around here as well....pretty cool. They have jousting and other "renaissance" type stuff. I kinda wish I was geeky enough to wear the outfits but I can't bring myself to do it. But I have no problem chomping on a turkey leg and downing a couple of schooners of beer.

Crab-E! Thanks for your Trick-or-Treat Bastards wishes.
What have you been doing for Hallowe'en?

I've been watching exclusively horror movies, fishing around the internet for Hallowe'en things to post, going to the apple orchard, and planning a Hallowe'en party.

I went to a haunted house Thursday night "Factory of Nightmares" at the Pierce College Harvest Festival. It was really good and scary!

Am going to go to another haunted house tonight.

I went to a Ren Faire once, in 1990! And I wore a swashbuckler costume. I swaggered around and had a good old time.

I haven't gone to any haunted houses yet; I need to do that.

Hope tonight's scares you into oblivion!

Happy Halloween, Crabby!!

Oooo! Fun! How was it?

...

Unfortunately we live in a crappy apartment (no front lawn) and trick-or-treaters don't come 'round these here parts, so we don't really have a place to decorate... As soon as we move out and into our first house, though, we'll definitely go all out - Went into a Halloween store for fun yesterday and put a bunch of ghastly props on our "Haunted House Wish List." :D

Haven't made it to Spooky World (http://www.spookyworld.com/) yet, though I've already purchased our VIP passes! We also go to Hammond Castle (http://www.hammondcastle.org/common/index.php?com=HAMM&div=AA&nav=AA&page=A91) every year, which always does some kind of cool haunted castle thing.

Or NEWEST Halloween plan I'm actually the most excited about - An independent theater in Cambridge, Coolidge Corner is doing a horror movie marathon.

http://www.coolidge.org/content/halloween-horror-movie-marathon

Apparently it's the "11th Annual," but this'll be our first year going.

The Coolidge Corner Theatre's Annual Halloween Horror Movie Marathon enters it's 11th year with a double feature so stylistically insane that we're just mad enough to bring them to you: Suspiria and Return of the Living Dead!!! We'll have a costume contest and a slew of other cool treats including some special shorts and trailers from the archives. Then stick around for another 5 jolting tales of terror guaranteed to make your hair stand on end, your knuckles go white, and your eyeballs ache! We're keeping the rest of the line-up secret, but we can say that we are aiming to bring you to hell, tear you up with a chain saw, give you rabies, bring out the demons, and put you in the sights of MARK 13!!

Suspiria - Return of the Living Dead - COSTUME CONTEST - Plus other films that they won't reveal online! I think it's perfect.

Also - Decided on my costume last night - I have this cute red dress that I've only worn once - I've decided to reuse it and go as a battered badass Little Red Riding Hood... Mark wants to go as my lumberjack, though I'm trying to convince him to go as my wolf. heehee

I'm pretty psyched. :D
