Two horror films opening that actually caught my interest enough that I'm considering going to the cinema.
Has anyone seen, or planning to see, either of these?

I want to see them both but i doubt i will. I saw Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark last night and i'm thinking of going to the movies again tonight but i'll probably end up seeing The Debt. Maybe i'll change my mind though. If i do i think i'll go see Apollo 18

I saw Apollo 18 with a friend the other day. It was normal, not super good but not bad either. It was pretty creative but there were points that made you go "what the hell was that?" but I guess every movie has some of those. I'm not into the whole animal concept so I didn't see Shark Night, and don't plan on it...

With Apollo 18 I loved the buildup, the whole documentary style setup, the suspense... then they ruined it. I ended up not liking the flick because of the lame reveal to be honest and I thought it could have been SO much more.

The reveal was pretty awful. They should have kept it a mystery, because after they showed it, it totally killed the suspense that they worked to build. And it wasn't nearly as cool after that.

I've never understood why people want something to remain a mystery the whole time. What fun is that? The problem wasnt that they revealed it, its that it was bad when they did. Although i didnt like the build up either.

I've seen Piranha 3D and Saw 3D at the theaters. Saw wasnt anything special but i thought Piranha was awesome in 3D. I was drunk though so i think that helped. ;)

Apollo 13 was a good movie.

Shark night kind of caught my eye, but I can't say that I care to see Apollo 18. It looks original and all, just with as boring as the trailer was I'm not sure if the movie is going to be any better. Besides Alien and Predator, I'm really never that impressed with the space spin anyways. Jason X ruined that for me.
