It seems Leicester Council does not have any emergency plan in place to deal with a zombie apocalypse. This shocking information was uncovered when a concerned citizen submitted the following to his/her local authority ...

"Dear Leicester City Council,
Can you please let us know what provisions you have in place in the event of a zombie invasion? Having watched several films it is clear that preparation for such an event is poor and one that councils throughout the kingdom must prepare for.
Please provide any information you may have.
Yours faithfully,
Concerned Citizen"

The council representive had only this to say in response ...

"Ms Wyeth (Leicester Councils head of information governance) said she was unaware of any specific reference to a zombie attack in the council's emergency plan, however some elements of it could be applied if the situation arose."

No specific reference to a zombie attack in the council's emergency plan ?? WTF ?? Shameful !! Such short sighted lack of planning dooms us all ! What exactly do we pay our council tax for ? First they change the weekly waste collection to fortnightly, now this ??

I hope Ms Wyeth and her fellow councillor's are feeling quite embarrassed by their poor judgement and lack of foresight ...
