Unruly supernatural types might have to prepare to face the wrath of the Dude himself, as Bridges is in talks to join Ryan Reynolds in the supernatural comedy, "R.I.P.D.," according to Deadline.
Bridges would be stepping into the role recently vacated by Zach Galifianakis, who ended up not digging the project's uncertain production schedule, which ultimately must bow to Reynolds' commitment to a possible (and probable) "Green Lantern" sequel.
"R.I.P.D." (Rest In Peace Department), based on a comic book series by Peter Lenkov, focuses on a police force comprised of ghosts who send the unruly dead back to the afterlife. Bridges would be playing a veteran officer opposite Reynolds' newly deceased cop character.
"R.I.P.D." is set to be directed by Robert Schwentke ("RED").
