Every so often I make myself a compilation of my favourite songs that I'm listening to at the time and put the songs on cd. I've done many of these it's your own mix-you can lay back and enjoy or you could do it for a friend to show them what music you're into at the time. Does anyone else do this? If not what songs would you choose to put on such a mix at the moment. I did my latest one after a large gap-here are my choices:-

1.Happiness-The Blue Nile (from Peace At Last 1996)

I used to do that, but the iPod and its playlist capabilities have taken over. Plug it in to the home theater, set it to the 'horror' playlist, and I'm set for the day. A far cry from my childhood portable record player with the denim on the cover.:o

I'm a bit retro and still use cds all the time. I've never bought an ipod but you are probably right that you can make larger playlists using them. I should get one really and put all my compilation cds onto it stick it on random then I won't have to change cds like I do now.
