is predator v Alien (yay) a british production?

I've heard rumours that ALEIN v predator is abritish production, is this true? Nothing against the brits but when it comes to sc fi noone does it better than the yanks. The only good thing about it being a brit production, is that it might'n have the soppy human always wins ending you get with their movies. shit that pisses me off just as the final action starts and you're enjoying the movie, you remember that the good guys always win. like i did while i was watching pirates of the carrabien, maybe they shouldn't make the bad guys so likeable shit those pirates earnt that treasure what gives deep the right to take it?

Not to rain on your parade, but the original Alien was almost entirely English made. The crew, the director, and some of the actors were from the UK.

... Because they shoot these movies over here it does not make them British productions and the script writing is nothing to do with where it’s shot!
US movies get made in the UK, Canada, and Australia ect. Because it’s cheaper and there are locations that differ from the USA.

A British production would be something like dog soldiers, 28 days later, etc.

Pirates of the Caribbean was a US film, and the Screen writers where American ... so I don't get your point! They used a British (mostly) cast as Pirates (at that time and geographical location), where well ... British!

well i know alein was made in britain, but ithought pirates of the caribbean was a disney movie made in the U.S and my point i suppose is that hollywood movies endings are so predictable, they have a great start and middle but the way the good guys always win is boring and predictable

As I understand it, it'sactually costing more and more to film in Australia, it's no longer cheaper, seems we have some pretty cool locations happening...

HE isnt, but Orlando Bloom, Jeffery rush, and 90% of the other actors are.

I see your point, Cat. I com[pletely agree, there is a huge difference between a purely british made movie, and one that is done by people from the UK, but with Americans pulling the strings.

Even though i'm american, I'm still glad that Ridley Scott is english. I think an American director would have hurt Alien.

And Aliens was directed by a Canadian. :) The only one in the series directed by an American was Alien3 (David Fincher).

Ressurection was directed by a frenchman.

Thats true, like every thing else in the movie business it all has to do with greed, they'll proce themselfs out of business then hopefully wake up to themselfs and go back to their old pricing structure, and btw gefory rush is australian
