Robert Louis Stevenson wrote Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, which is about 60,000 words, on a 6-day cocaine binge. He was also reported to have been suffering from tuberculosis at the time.

I haven't been able to substantiate this under laboratory conditions but I did read it on one of those sites that have 'interesting facts' within.

Here's another: No other English word rhymes with 'month'.

Here's another- 1 in very 100 American adult males is imprisoned. Americans make up 3% of the global population but make up 25% of the global prison population.
