Hey guys, I'm here on behalf of Disney, and I want to spread the word about the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean movie, On Stranger Tides. I know this isn't a horror film, but it does feature zombies, killer mermaids, and the evil Blackbeard. If you haven't already seen the trailer, you can check it out here (http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/pirates-of-caribbean-on-stranger-tides/trailer). Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

That's easy- cuz Goofy walks on two legs and Pluto walks on 4.

A bunch of us at Caltech figured this out long ago. They are in fact brothers. Goofy sold Pluto into slavery in exchange for the power of human speech. (And evidently he was robbed too, given the unsatisfactory results.)Why else the hat than to hide the surgical scars?

I want to marry whoever reached this conclusion.

Looking forward to it, although I fear it's a tad unnecessary. I mean, the first three were great, but the story arc came to a fairly nice conclusion.

What i hate is when they make remakes. Besides the rob zombie halloween was preetty sweet. I like the classics the way they were..

Have you guys seen this behind-the-scenes feature (http://www.movieweb.com/movie/pirates-of-the-caribbean-on-stranger-tides/featurette)? It's pretty cool stuff. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Not trying to be a dick(well, maybe a little bit) but what the fuck does this have to do with anything? By any chance are you related to Thomas George?

Parts 1 & 2 were good but I thought 3 was an absolute mess. Overlong by at least an hour, characters all over the place and utter shite plot.

If part 4 is to work, I hope you have returned to the root of the characters and remove most of the vast support cast. Need a good, strong supernatural element and reign back on the whole Jack Sparrow insanity.

Now that that's cleared up let's move on. Why does a mouse own a cat as a pet? I find that odd.

You're in luck. Johnny Depp has promised (http://www.starpulse.com/news/index.php/2011/01/06/johnny_depp_promises_less_confusion_in)a more straight-forward plot.

Part 3 was the first time in a very long time that I got to a point of being lost as to what was going on in a movie. By about halfway through the big vortex scene I had lost all bearing as to who was fighting who and even moreso, why they were even fighting in the first place. Maybe it was fueled by the fact that I really didn't care about any character in the movie by that point because I felt like I had been watching the same movie for roughly 12 years, but still... It just felt like one huge CG wank-fest directed by a 12 year-old who just kept screaming, "Yeah dude! Blow more stuff up! More monsters! More pirates! More! Dude! More! Sick! MORE!"

Am I an undiscovered genius or something? I had absolutely no problems whatsoever with the plots in 2 and 3. What is there to be confused about? It's a Disney movie!

Sorry for the double post, but I thought I'd get the conversation rolling here again. Has anyone had a chance to check out the latest trailer (http://www.deadline.com/2011/03/latest-trailer-pirates-of-the-caribbean-4/)? Thoughts?

It seems pretty good, I guess. I'm interested to see why Barbossa is dressed so...regally. Yep, I'll give this a watch. Disney...you have won this round.

He's switched teams in this film ;)

If you're a Barbossa fan, here's a cool feature (http://www.nme.com/filmandtv/news/pirates-of-the-caribbean-4-go-behind-the-scenes/211287)with him in it. In this feature, he's wearing his Pirate gear (the more familiar look).
