Some pretty spooky stuff:

8 Abandoned Theme Parks Abroad "Open" for Exploration (http://www.nileguide.com/blog/2010/08/28/8-abandoned-theme-parks-abroad-open-for-exploration/)

8 Abandoned American Theme Parks "Open" for Exploration (http://www.nileguide.com/blog/2010/05/26/8-abandoned-american-theme-parks-open-for-exploration/)

Video of Six Flags New Orleans (Post Katrina) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bcja8UBtXdk)

For me, the creepiest is "Okpo Land" (First one from the first link). The fact that the car that a girl fell out of and died is still dangling from the track is pretty horrible.

Still, interesting stuff.

These are so creepy and beautiful in a haunting way.

Amusement parks are the most disturbing of all abandoned places, I guess itīs just the contrast of a place of fun, laughter, crowds and lights tranforming into an overgrown, forgotten junk yard.

Thanks for the links.:)

Have you seen this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyDeLlyiwGM

I agree, it's definitely that contrast which makes them so spooky.

Did you see the part in the article saying that people had apparantly spent the night in the hotel at the Russian Village park in Japan? I'd love to do something like that.

I hadn't seen that video, it was pretty interesting! I'm not sure how good that film looks, but it's a very cool concept. It's just a shame they're building over it, but I guess they can't justify leaving potential building space to rot like that.

Also, I loved The Kinks' lyrics scrawled on the old stage! Very macabre!

I spent many hours at Rocky Point when I was a wee newb. And many dollars at the beer garden when I got older. :D
