I have always thought that my intense fear of black spider's eyes and asymmetrical clusters of holes was yet another sign that I was, and had been for some time, losing my mind. Images of this etches themselves in my mind and seemingly on my skin and they make me go absolutely nuts. A lot of the scars on my body have been from trying to cut off imaginary spider's eyes or holes or black dots appearing all over the skin. Does sound pretty wacky, no?

Well today I discovered that this is an actual phobia that's called 'trypophobia'. Google it and check it out but please for the love of all that is unholy DO NOT POST ANY OF THE IMAGES YOU MAY FIND.

So yeah.. I'm still all fucked up but at least now I know that it isn't my sanity slowly rotting away, so yay for that.

You're not crazy, but you should probably see a doctor. I do get very concerned when people cut themselves.

Feel better.:(

Oh I am seeing a doctor already. I have different kinds of therapy six hours a week and I'm on medication, You're sweet for worrying but that wasn't my intentions with this. <3

I'm just psyched that I found an answer and that I found it on the internet rather than in a mattressed cell.

That's great you're getting closer to sorting it all out.

How do doctor's deal with people's phobias? Are they able to completely cure them or just offer solutions how to deal with them more effectively?

I actually don't really know. Currently all treatments are focused on my mental illness so we haven't really gotten to my phobias yet. They seem to be interwoven though, because with the right therapy, everything else gets a bit easier to handle.

I think I know of a way you can help yourself get over it.
When you think about these images, to clear them from your mind, imagine you're in a nice warm white blanket, surrounded snugly, nothing but warmth all around you.
The blanket is silky, smoothe, almost malleable and form fitting.
Imagine that you can see yourself from above, like you are your own personal God.
Then imagine the image zooming out, and what you see, is that you are indeed in a very warm snug place, you are inside one of the sections of a bee hive.
The image keeps spanning further back revealing more details, there's more and more people just like you all around the bee hive, in chambers of their own. There's a whole other hive next to yours, spanning further back you see that these bee hives are actually two giant sets of spiders eyes, and the spider knows you're watching from outside, leaping towards you, staring into your soul with those eyes.
Everything goes black.
You wake up, back in your blanket, but you're not yourself, as you are still there in the chamber that now holds two of you, you reach out to touch your counterpart, and their skin goes black, and one by one, their body becomes engulfed in spider eyes. You scream and attempt to escape, but a viscous fluid holds you in place, the chamber fills up with a fluid that starts bonding the two of you together...the last thing you see if your own screaming face, reflected in all of those tiny little eyes, as your lungs fill with something that tastes like blood.

I hope that helped.
