To quote Neverending
The best zombie movie made in years... is a TV series!
Though he was in fact talking about The Walking Dead, I feel as though the same credit can be given to Dead Set, a UK zombie mini series that hooked me from the outset and kept me glued to my couch.
Please DO NOT overlook this little gem. And if you HAVE seen it, please share your thoughts.
I absolutely loved it. I wish we had more quality television like this.
Of course, comparisons will come up to The Walking Dead - Dead Set is more fast-paced and more of a longer movie instead of a television drama (not to knock The Walking Dead - It just has a different MO).

Oh, and if you have Comcast, it's currently free On Demand:
The Cutting Edge > IFC Free > Automat

I didn't like the first episode of this but it picks up after that and is really good.
Started rewatching it last night before I start on The Walking Dead. I like how this show is in "real time".
The boss guy cracks me up especially the shitting in a bucket scene :D

Walking Dead stole this show's thunder. I was excited but completely forgot about it if Darabont whipped his new show out.

I'm really surprised it got such a late release in the States. I saw this show in 2008.

I have to be honest and say I totally didnt give this show a chance... It had Davina MfuckingCall in it and was centered around the sycophantic world of Big Brother. I'm narrow minded enough to maintain a healthy level of contempt for the show. I have heard a few decent things about it though to be fair.

If you hate Davina McCall and Big Brother, you'll like the show. ;)
You really should give it a chance. I get where you're coming from but, uhm, well, it's not what you're thinking - Try it. You'll like it. I promise.

Did I mention Jaime Winston also annoys the crap outta me? :p
I'm gonna swallow my pride and give a few episodes a whirl over the weekend, I don't really like blanking any British made horror. But seriously, the whole fame hungry, larger than life culture that Davina/ E4/ Big Brother represent is rammed so far down your throat over here that it really is hard not to hate on site.

I get that, though not directly - Big Brother isn't as big over here - I'm not even sure what the US equivalent of Davina would be.
I SWEAR, though, you'll like it - I promise. :D

Paris Hilton.
The tragedy is, we still get stuck with Paris and her type for a few weeks a year. They still wind up here and do the interview circuit trying to peddal their latest fashion label or perfume or song or reality show and we have to listen to how much they love 'soccer' or 'fish and chips'. What a pathetic world we live in where the likes of Paris Hilton are acting as role models for young peoples lives and goals.
OK, I'm done complaining.

There's honestly about 20 minutes of the whole series that concerns itself with Big Brother.
Finished this up last night. Enjoyed it more the second time round. It's definitely one of the fresher takes on the zombie genre.

Ahh - TOTALLY get that. Having Paris in a movie is definitely a turnoff for me.

Just saw it day before yesterday. As I haven't see any zombie made-for-TV movie before so I was bit surprised & glad that they able to came with that much gore & good zombie makeover in this film.
Now eagerly waiting for Darabont's Walking Dead's dvd release here.

Thanks to this thread I watched this one again, it is a quality little show despite Jaime Winston being an unlikely heroine. Alot of the characters are annoying as fuck so very much true to the Big Brother theme but its a good take on the zombie genre.
Well worth viewing, thanks for the refresh Chrono!
