Short 1.

There's something wrong with me.

Ever since I was a kid, the sounds of terrified screaming did not bother me. I could sit through the most god awful wailing and never feel a thing. Horror movies never bothered me nor did they give me nightmares.

When stray dogs mangled my neighbor's cat, I barely even noticed the violence or the woman's heart rending sobs. I don't get startled at all when people jump out and yell at me.

Don't get me wrong, though. I still get creeped out by other things. In fact, I just got up to shut my closet door.

The shadows inside were getting to me, and the door muffles the screams.

Stay in control. Think simply and think concise. Break it down, remember key information.

The Love Story of Ralph and Edna

Just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.

Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there. Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out.

When the head nurse director became aware of Edna’s heroic act, she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be be mentally stable. When she went to tell Edna the news she said, “Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you’re being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love. I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness. The bad news is Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he’s dead.”

Edna replied, “He didn’t hang himself –I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?”

Grownups always tell me I have my Mommy's eyes, which is silly because I know Daddy keeps them with the rest of his collection in the shed.

Holy shit. Thank you Chrono. I was told that work was original by the girl that wrote it. She told me I could have it and use it for my shorts. Some ones got a beating coming to them.

In rural Wisconsin, there is an old abandoned park. Built in the 1920s, it served as the town's gathering place for everyone.

That is, until a newly developed Train and Tunnel for Tots™ ride was installed in 1932. It was an innocent looking childish train, with one main (mechanized) head car, with three small trolleys pulled behind it. It went around some loops before going into a small tunnel.

But this is where the story gets weird. There were numerous cases of child deaths that year, all of them happening after the child rode on that train system. Some kids went missing in that short tunnel (about ten feet), and others went comatose after leaving. Some killed themselves by scratching at their throats until they bled out, and one of them even killed another child before hanging herself with razor wire at the family's farm.

The park was closed, and the town's popularity as a tourist town plummeted.

Recently, a team of scientists were sent out to the park. They taped a video camera to the train, and put a new intern in with it, before sending it on its way onto the tracks.

When the train left the tunnel, it was empty, except for the camera.

The last ten seconds were nothing but static, save for the sound of children laughing.
