The long awaited follow-up of last year's hit game Batman: Arkham Asylum has finally been announced.
Warner Bros Interactive and DC Entertainment together are bringing the new game sequel - Batman: Arkham City. This third person over-the-shoulder Batman game would be available for Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 by the Fall (Sept.-Oct.) of 2011.
Rocksteady Studios is developing Arkham City and we are rooting that this game will be as amazing as the original one. The bar of expectations are set high. The first game was about Arkham Asylum, the home for criminally insane, but the sequel is more about Gotham City. All the villains will be present in the city while Batman will be on the prowl to catch them.
Batman: Arkham Asylum promises some ultra-realistic gameplay. The Dark Knight surely surprised superhero fans and also several gamers. Mark Hamill who's been iconic as always for voice acting The Joker will surely leave a mark along with other villains like Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, the Riddler and Talia Al Ghul (daughter of Ra's Al Ghul).
Too bad as we'll have to wait till next year to see what's in store for us but Game Informer's September issue does have loads of information about the game.
