Another significant year for todays date.


65 years ago the skin graft department of Hiroshima general hospital had to hit the ground running as the atomic bomb 'Little Boy' was dropped yielding a 12.5 kiloton explosion, killing close to 50,000 instantly and injuring thousands.

Really was a shameful event, terrible that so many innocents had to die. However, as brutal as it was, and whilst in no way am I saying I agreed with the methods, something serious needed to be done to stop the Japanese.

I honestly believe it was the lesser of two evils, the death toll of soldiers and civilians if the war was fought on the Japanese islands could have been in the millions. The Japanese were prepared to mobilize the entire population!

Not nice either way.
