LOVE this show! These were some of my favorite episodes (can't remember exact titles)

Lurch Loses His Harpsichord
Lurch Learns To Dance
Lurch's Mother Visits
New Neighbors

What episodes do you remember?

P.S. It's hard to beat the incredible chemistry between Morticia and Gomez.http://gryphonscry.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/gomez-morticia-3.jpg

It was the perfect embodiment of Charles Addams' cartoons. Reportedly he liked it very much.

I read a John Astin interview once where he said he considered Carolynn Jones the sexiest woman alive, and at times had a hard time containing himself in their scenes.

I'm sorry... I didn't answer the question. I love this show, though.

I'm not surprised to hear John Astin say that; you could cut the sexual tension between those two with a knife.

There are so many things I love about this show:

The fiery relationship between Morticia and Gomez
Uncle Fester
Lurch
Thing (whenever a horror movie features a disembodied hand, I have this overwhelming urge to say "Thank you, Thing")
Cousin Itt
Cleopatra
The sadomasochistic undertone
Kitty
That swordfish with the diver's remains
The live bear-skin rug

Okay, I'll stop now. I REALLY love this show.

P.S. Does Victor Mizzy have a CD featuring a montage of his Addams Family music?

There IS an Addams Family album, featuring music from the show. Pretty rare today, and I don't think it was ever released on CD.

I had the immense pleasure of interviewing Vic Mizzy by phone several years ago. He was promoting the release of his first album of original pop tunes as recorded by himself. Seventy plus years old, the gentleman was sharp as a tack and immensely witty, as well as opinionated. He shared many stories about his career- including one about the recording of The Addams Family Theme. The studio didn't want to pay for any extra musicians or singers for the session, so he plays the harpsicord himself, and it's his voice overdubbed several times, singing the words- as well as the finger snaps.

I checked, they did release it to CD. I'd have to get it from a third party on Amazon, but it sounds worth it.

I thought the movoies were great. Different than the TV show, but just as faithful to the original cartoons, and you couldn't get a better cast.

I couldn't get into the movies. It just wasn't the same.

They weren't supposed to be.

I didn't enjoy the movies anywhere near as much as I did the TV show; I did like Christina Ricci's Wednesday though:http://www.pub.se/files/Images/Images_1006/2009/07/Wednesday%20The%20Addams%20Family.jpg
