Believe it or not, this week marks the 25th Anniversary of everyone's most beloved movie.

Take a look - http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2010/06/25-years-of-the-goonies/

"OK! I'll talk! In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog... When my mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out... But the worst thing I ever done - I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life."

:D

And for us hardcore Goonie-geeks, they also have a deleted scene from the film...

Ahhhh! I great childhood memory right there. It has been an age since I have seen it. Maybe I need to celebrate with a viewing:)

Still never got through the entire movie. Bought it on DVD ages ago and started watching but got distracted by something or other.

Wow. As a kid, I wore out the tape I had of this movie.

Haha, and that deleted scene is ridiculous. But I always thought it was weird that at the end, when the Goonies are talking to the police, one of them mentions a giant octopus. I always thought they were just making it up for some reason.

This is not my most beloved film- so once again I am not part of Everyone, but relagated to the status of Nobody.

That deleted scene is AWESOME! I always wondered what they were talking about when they were yelling about octopi at the end, too... I figured that it was the part when they're outside the restaurant and one of the girls steps on the rake and it swings up with a fish on it... THAT'S how I justified what they were talking about...

The Brattle Theater in Boston just showed The Goonies a couple Friday nights ago - Went with my friends and got to see it in a theater with real popcorn and real butter - fun times!

If I'm honest the first 30 minutes or so really bored me.
