I love 'em! Can't get enough of the things. Whilst they're full of natural sugar s'all good so long as you brush your teeth. For the last few weeks I've had at least one smoothie a day in place of a meal and I feel great for it. In fact, I am sipping one as I type this. What I want to know is what do you guys make your smoothies with, if at all? Do you like them?

For me every smoothie has this as a base:

1 Banana
1 Satsuma
At least one other fruit, preferably of another colour.
Some sort of fruit juice (usually grape)
Drop of Milk
Ice

If it's a breakfast smoothie I'll also add a crushed up piece of Weetabix®.

I think the important thing is to get it fluid enough to be easily drinkable but thick enough that it feels filling otherwise you end up just feeling hungry straight after. I also tend to find that adding water to try and make it more fluid can result in it all separating and becoming...not nice. But yeah, any of you got some good recipes or tips?

I love smoothies, I don't really put anything in particular, I put in random fruit to see what taste good, and most of the time get really good results. I also add a little milk, and 1 yogurt preferably a flavor that I did not put in already of the regular fruit.

Now I want a smoothie!!!! I have some frozen fruit! I'm gonna make one probably for breakfast! Thanks Ferret! :)

This is a good one:

A banana
Some milk
Some honey
Teaspoon of instant coffee
Tablespoon of uncooked oats

It's a little weird but tasty weird!

Anyone with cider is pretty decent.

Orange Strawberry Banana... with orange strawberry banana juice, and I use Vanilla Yogurt to sweeten it a bit. So it tastes like a really yummy creamcicle.

Sometimes I'm boring and lazy and just use strawberry yogurt, with berries and banana. It's a little on the sweet side though. I prefer the orange for a bit of zest, plus who doesn't like orange juice in the morning?

I am definitely going to have to try some of those recipes. Although I'm not so sure about putting yoghurt in, I'm worried about making it too creamy so it because almost milk shake-ish. And I never even thought about honey! How much is a good amount?

I made one today, and didn't add yogurt so didn't add any, but it still tasted pretty good!

Just a teaspoon of honey in your banana coffee milk oatmeal shake is enough, the banana is already a little sweet and the honey just augments it. The instant coffee is nice if you like coffee, and adds a chocolate-like quality but less candy-like.

I agree, all these recipes are fantabulicious!
