Futurama returns!

Good news, everyone! Futurama really is coming back to our screens and there’s a new picture to prove it.

The somewhat creepy yet strangely hilarious image below is from the first proper new episode (we’re not counting the DVD “movie” releases) produced since 2003.

Our main question about the picture is: where’s Philip J Fry? And as a follow-up: is he now a serial killer?

As for the series, it’s been far too long a delay, frankly, but thanks to US channel Comedy Central, Fry, Leela, Zoidberg, Bender and the rest of the gang are rocketing back from cancellation oblivion.

Futurama returns to US screens on June 24.

I'm so excited for Futurama's return, I really hope when they come back, there here to stay.

I used to wet my pants with laughter watching Futurama, really glad it's making a come back. Was never much of a Simpsons fan, but I remember watching the first episode back in 2000 feeling a little bit skeptical...boy was I wrong, I cracked up every time I thought about the suicide booth for weeks.

Woo hoo. Excited about this. One of the few times fans have been vindicated after the premature cancellation of a great show.
