Has any Bentley Little book ever been made into a movie or mini series? If not, why do you think not? Maybe Walmart wouldn't like it :)

I think I am one of the few people that considers Bag of Bones among King's best, definitely one of my favorites. I would love to see a film version. And The Long Walk is excellent. I think I read somewhere awhile ago that Frank Darabont had plans to make it into a film, no idea if that is still on though. Haven't heard anything about it since.
Never have warmed up to Bentley Little. I really liked The Association, because it was really creepy and yet completely ridiculous....;) But I haven't liked much of anything else I have read by him except for his short story The Washingtonians, which was interesting. But I keep reading his books. Like with John Saul, I liked one book ages ago and can't seem to give up on him....;)

The only Bentley Little work I've seen is The Washingtonians, an episode of Masters Of Horror. I would love to see his work on the big screen.
I seem to remember 'The Store' didn't mess with Wal-Mart.
I've never read any Benley Little, I'll have to do that. Does he have any books of short stories I could start with?
I have read everything King has put out, and some of his work was kind of hard to wrap my head around for a while there. But, Under The Dome was really good to me.
I'd like to see another anthology of his short stories televised like they did a few years back on TNT with Nightmares And Dreamscapes.
They left out too many good stories in that one, and oddly enough included Battleground which is from Night Shift.
Good stories though, I really liked Crouch End on TV.

Bentley Little has a collection of short stories simply called The Collection. Weird stuff. I loved it.
Cool. I'll check that out. Thanks.

I have done an article on Bentley Little on my Horror Writers site at www.horrorwriters.net
Incidentally, I am always seeking new articles for the site, so if anybody has any material, please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to consider your work for publication on the site.
Thanks.

It was. I had a very hard time finishing Insomnia as well. Some of his stuff is great, and some I have a really hard time getting through.
I'm a huge fan of short story horror collections, just because of this I think. If one story isn't doing it for you, just plow through it and get to the next one.
I hate committing to a novel, because if I don't really like it, my OCD will kick in and I'm forced to finish it anyway.
Easier to finish a bad short story than a 1200 page novel, lol.
Thankfully, I've liked most of Kings novels.

I am a huge fan of The Long Walk, and come to mention it, I borrowed it to someone who never returned it , I have a phone call to make.
All of the stories in The Bachman Books were pretty good. The Long Walk was a great read.

Bag Of Bones did kind of drag didn't it? It reminded me of the Stephen King mini-series Storm Of The Century, there was a great pay-off but it took roughly 2,000 years to get to it. I think if Bag Of Bones was made into a 2 hour movie, it would work better.
