To be perfectly honest, it IS "rather annoying to navigate" at first...In fact, it took me about a month to get used to it, and as soon as I had it all figured out, they CHANGED it and I had to start all over again!...Pissed me off...But, it's not so bad now that I've spent more time on it...In short, you'll get used to it if you keep at it

I was driving home and couldn't WAIT to get home to check my facebook page,I felt like a junkie needing a fix.
I was laughing at something I remembered seeing on facebook while shopping for groceries and if you think someone picking out vegetables and then suddenly maniacally laughing at seemingly nothing is not completely scary...
I was looking through it a minute ago and my daughter was asking what this and that the other meant (she was doing her homework) and I couldn't think of the answers...I could if I could have concentrated but here she is asking me what Spectrum meant and I couldn't come up with any examples of the damn word and just ended up yelling 'it's YOUR homework, jeez, shouldn't you like look it up or something'.
I mean, she SHOULD find her own answers, that's the point of homework or so they tell me...as an adult I still don't GET the reason behind homework except to make sure kids don't have any fun time, I mean shit, they are in fucking school all day learning...
Oh hell, that's another thing...my mind wanders worse than usual now

Anyway, all this rambling has ONE point

I understand how a lot of people don't like it, but I think so long as you're smart about it Facebook can be a great thing. It allows me to regularly communicate with friends and relatives in various parts of the world for free (essentially). I don't tend to play the games on facebook but instead use it to see funny pictures of, converse with or just learn more about friends. Yes, you have to be careful what you put on there but we're all sensible 'cept maybe Zero and Crabby but I don't think their guards allow them to use Facebook...

I find facebook to be useful in terms of keeping in touch with people i would not otherwise keep in touch with. And I have those kinds of friends who try to one up each other with the ridiculousness of their posts (like one dude used the old Caldor logo for their profile pic...we were all in hysterics...who remembers Caldor, right????) But then you have those people who post every time they take a shit and it's like "do I care??" I personally cannot stand all the stupid games they have on that site. If you want to play a game with me then invite me over for Scrabble or Parcheesi. Even the quizzes they have suck. Of course I say all this but what's the first thing I do when I get home? Check my facebook page. Yup.

I tried Facebook after thinking about it for a long time. Finally joined, and it reminded me of why I wasn't talking to any of my old friends in the first place.

Still the same bunch of jerks they were years back. I ended up setting my status to invisible so none of them would see me on, and then got to thinking, what's the point then?

So, I de-activated my account. If you have old friends you'd actually enjoy talking to, I think it's great.
But if you can't stand them, it is a complete waste of time. IMO.

Making new friends is awesome, but not when you have to lurk to avoid the old ones. It felt like an episode of Seinfeld.

OMG!...I have that magazine laying right beside me, sitting on the printer right now...I picked it up yesterday, and just randomly opened it near the middle, and I saw FARMVILLE!...I couldn't even believe it!...I showed it Alex and he was like "You gotta be kidding me"...I rarely ever play it anymore, unless someone asks me to help them with something
