So when this show originally aired I was maybe a bit too young to have bothered with it?
Though it seems to have many fans.
I get the basic idea - The investigation into the murder of a girl among the family, friends and members of a small town, right?
That's about all I know.
I've never seen one episode at all.
I know Lynch has something to do with it which I find kind of interesting.

I was pondering picking it up or trying to find a few episodes online...
Today, is it worth it?
Also - IS there some kind of resolution to it? I know how Lynch does things, but I'd like to think he'd actually wrap up a story like this one...

So, tell me.

It's a great show, IMO. Lynch created it, wrote some of the episodes, directed some of the episodes and even appears in some of the episodes. It's something you need to see from start to finish, so you can catch all the little clues and everything.

It wraps up with a resolution of sorts, though it's kind of hard to tell exactly what it all means. It's just a fun, freaky show.

It's definitely worth buying, because you will watch it over and over to watch all the little clues. It's wrapped up in a way by the end of the show, but the movie Fire Walk with Me really ties everything together.

Yeah, it's an incredible show. Eight or nine episodes out of the second season take some trudging through (when Lynch and co-creator Mark Frost kind of bowed out for a time), but overall it's one of the best things television's ever produced. The finale, while pretty mindblowing and a resolution of sorts, is also pretty frustrating, just to warn you.

So the series, then the movie...and all together the basic idea comes together?
One thing though, do you or do you not find out (in any point of any of these) who killed the chick and why?
See if that gets handled, I'm good with it.

Yes, watch the series and then the movie.

Best thing on television. Ever. With the possible exception of the Twilight Zone and Britney Spears being carted off in the ambulance.
