There were two horror movie darlings at this year's Sundance Film Festival.
The first was Buried, the Rodrigo Cortes-directed film about Ryan Reynolds trying to escape being buried alive in a coffin; it was promptly picked up by Lionsgate for distribution and will be coming out this fall.
The second was Splice, the Vincenzo Natali-directed film about two scientists, played by Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley, who create an unexpected new life form. It too was also promptly picked up; Warner Brothers' genre division, Dark Castle, will be putting it out in theaters in the US on June 4th.

Looks very promising.
