The actor, 73, is reportedly too weak to continue chemotherapy for his advanced prostate cancer. But he received permission from his doctor to attend the short ceremony recognizing his contribution to more than 150 movies.

Hopper began his career in the 1955 classic Rebel Without a Cause and is most famous for his role in the 1969 counter-culture movie, Easy Rider.

'Everything I learned in life I learned from you,' a frail-looking Hopper told the crowd. 'This means so much to me. Thank you very much everyone, and Hollywood.'

Bloody Ribcut, I must say that your avatar is wonderful. Brigitte Helm as the Robot Maria in Metropolis is one of my all-time favorite performances.

Good for him, the dude definitely deserves the recognition, although a star on the Walk of Fame has to be the most meaningless honor ever. Judge Judy has a star for fuck's sake.

He more than deserves it.

Wasn't he on a car commercial or something not too long ago? I don't remember him looking in that bad of shape.

Wasn't a car commercial. Ameriprise maybe? He was in the salt flats. I can't seem to find the video.

Dennis Hopper, who is fighting prostate cancer and dealing with a divorce, is now saddled with another burden: a $12,000-a-month payment to his estranged wife.

A judge ruled Monday that Hopper, 73, must pay Victoria Hopper $8,000 a month in spousal support and $4,000 in child support. Against the actor's wishes, the judge also ruled that Victoria can live on the Hopper compound in Venice, Calif., for the time being.

All three grown Hopper children – Marin, Ruthanna and Henry Lee – showed up in court to support their father, though they didn't speak.

Hopper has been married to Victoria, his fifth wife, since 1996. They have a daughter, Galen, who is 7.

The actor, who appeared in such Hollywood landmarks as Rebel Without a Cause, Easy Rider and Apocalypse Now, has appeared frail in his few public appearances of late. On March 26, he received a star on Hollywood Boulevard.

Child support fair enough...but "spousal support"? fuck that.
She must be pretty low hitting him for extra cash now...

His wife is a stupid twat. How selfish could you be? That there is a well deserved star. It's been a long time coming. He is one of my all time favorites. Man, you guys are right...he looks bad. :(

Man, that is really sad. Especially when March 27th was my nineteenth birthday.
