Which device do you use for taking your media where ever you go and why?
I personally use IPOD. I tried Zune for a while and I put a picture of it in my sig. That's what my Zune looked like after 4 months of light use. It also took to long to sync and couldn't hold a charge like the IPOD. Zen I also found great but didn't have any models with enough memory for my liking and still couldn't match the charge I could get out on any IPOD. Anyhow whats your take?

I don't use a "media device." Sometimes it's good to be aware of your surroundings.

Also not fond of the whole idea of being constantly plugged in to your music...I get far more enjoyment out of observing the world around me.
That said, I do use an iPod at the gym to help keep the energy up. Just a 4 gig shuffle, but it's more than enough to get the job done. I also own one of the old 20 gig classic iPods, but I rarely use it - it was a gift, years ago.

I just use a plain MP3 player.
I need to get some new headphones... there's a lot of people I'd like to block out on my way to wherever I'm going.

1gig RCA Lyra, plenty of room, and has usb battery that can recharge from my laptop. Nothing fancy, just left on shuffle. Only use it when I'm on the bus. It's multi-use really. I get myself in a good mood on the way to school, avoid the crappy R&B/rap station my bus driver seems to love, and avoid conversation with annoying people. Hell, sometimes when I am waiting for the bus I will just put my headphones in my ears so people won't talk to me.

I've had an iPod touch for about a year. I don't know what I'd do without it. It's with me 24/7.

Haha yeh I'd need a billion gig deal to hold all the MP3s I've got floating around.
I get by with 8gig just loaded up with new stuff I haven't listened to much plus a few old favorites.

I love my iPod!!
I just recently turned the big 40, so I remember the days of LPs, 8 Tracks, and cassettes (don't want to go back to those days). Being able to transfer your favorite music onto that little device still seems like the coolest thing, and being able to make playlists that you can custom design, love it!
Besides the usual metal bands, I've got a lot of horror movie music. It freaks houseguests out.

My mp3 player went dead after two years, so now I'm forced to burn my music onto CDs, and use a Discman for financial reasons. I'll be buying another mp3 player in a couple weeks. I like having a small mp3 player about the size of a lighter, they're great for running, and other forms of exercise, they are light, and take up less space in your pocket.
