Ed Helms may not have had to give up a major project to do "The Hangover 2" like Bradley Cooper did, but his level of enthusiasm makes you believe that he could.
Stopped on the red carpet at the Spirit Awards Friday night, Helms confirmed his returning director and co-stars' names, but indicated more info would have to wait until fall when they start filming -- even story details.
"I know broad strokes, and I'm extremely excited," Helms told MTV News. The nature of those strokes didn't make it past the "Office" actor's smile, but his anticipation did.
"Well, we're gonna shoot it, and it's gonna to be awesome," he said. "It's gonna star Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis -- I have a part apparently, which I'm excited about -- and Justin Bartha, and Todd Phillips is gonna direct it."
Just the same, it's good to know that no one has bailed in recent weeks, but it would have been nice to find out that Tiger Woods had been signed or Zac Efron's role turned out to be real.
"I wish I had more for you," Helms admitted. "But we're gonna shoot it in the fall."
