Good evening,

I am new here, so having looked at the various boards felt this was a good place to start.

In my spare time I write both horror and comedy fiction. I am also contributory editor for an avant-garde magazine of fiction, poetry and art. I am currently training to be a lawyer but my main passion is writing and I hope one day to bow gracefully out of law and be a full time horror writer. I have a diverse taste in most of the arts, but to give a bit of an idea as to what I'm into here are some favourites.

Favourite Films: House of 1,000 Corpses, The Green Mile, The Silence of the Lambs, The House of the Devil and most Dario Argento films.
Favourite Authors: Chuck Palahniuk, H P Lovecraft, Brett Easton Ellis, Poppy Z Brite.
Favourite Bands: Dimmu Borgir, Slayer, Ulver, Septic Flesh, Rob Zombie.
Favourite Poet: Allen Ginsberg

In terms of horror films I have and will watch anything from Nosferatu right up to the modern day films being released now. Anything new and original is always welcome, although I'm also a fan of the great slasher horrors and do welcome anything that pays homage to the glory days of yesteryear. I'm not so big a fan of the Final Destination brand of horror that seems to have filled the cinema and America for the past ten years or so but every now and then there comes along a great, original film that really stands out - last year we had Antichrist. There were also some great releases in the form of Outpost and Dead Snow (hilarious).

If you want to know anything else just ask :).

Cheers.
